The fabulous new Paint the Night parade in Disneyland.

The magnificent Painted Hall is recognised as the greatest piece of decorative painting in England and has been described as ‘the Sistine Chapel of the UK’. Designed by Sir Christopher Wren and Nicholas Hawksmoor, it was originally intended as an dining hall for the naval pensioners who lived here at the Royal Hospital for Seamen.

It didn't take long to find plenty of butterflies at the RSPB Lakenheath Fen Reserve yesterday including lots of fresh Painted Ladies, feasting on flowers along the trail overlooking the marshes.

We stopped at the historic Painted Visitor Desert Center for a short lunch break and photo op.

Delaware Park

A boy with face paint stares at my camera as he stands in front of a barbed wire fence and church. The fence was used to keep students from wandering off the premises of the residential school. Though the school is now gone, the fence is kept as a reminder of the experience.
