Funny story.
An artist came to my classroom today to teach a music lesson to prepare the kids for a trip we are going on next week.
She wrote the sentence "The man was carrying a large package" on the board.
(If you really want to know why - the kids had to say the sentence using different emotions.)
Anyway, someone who knows me intimately came in the room, saw me standing next to this after the artist had gone, and burst out laughing and said
"How did she know?"
(None of the kids heard this.)

March 4, 2009 - Finally got this photo the way it was meant to look - a year to the day!
I've made an illustration for a limited edition boxes that contains 3 cans of virgin olive oil.
I have designed the spanish one, Mário Belém the portuguese one and Mauro De Donatis the italian one.
3 extra quality virgin olive oils from 3 awesome countries.
The agency who developed this beautiful project is NTGJ. Take a look at their awesome works: www.ntgj.org/
Yay! My appointment cards and my clear bags coincidentally both arrived today! I assembled a few packages quickly to take a few photos.
I had received some good feedback from my rendezvous cards at the craft fair, but since I had glued rhinestones to each card, it wasn't cost effective. This was my solution.
Each package contains eight 2"x3.5" cards (solid colors on the backs) along with coordinating translucent sleeves.
taken earlier today.......all the empty cards beneath are now full, hooray!
Did I ever mention my love affair with knots?
Which reminds me, pictures of the finished rope body piece coming soon...
(you may have noticed that I use the word 'soon' very loosely)
i came up with this packaging design the day before i sent out my very first etsy order. again, minimal and clean. i love it! the box was made from a white cardstock. i didn't take a pic of the inside but i wrapped the merchandise with black tissue, very neatly of course, and sealed it with a white, dot sticker stamped with that same flower on the tag.
This is the style package I use on all of my smaller items. The color and accent paper always changes and can be made custom.
Death By Salt is a multi-cd compilation of local musicians. We were excited to print the packaging and tickets.
4 colors, and die-cut.
I have switched to using craft paper for my wrapping because it's cheap, looks good, and is recycleable. I love it with my new Washi tapes and baker's twine!

Hi, ho, hi, ho, it's out the door you go! I just love doing a bit of packaging to make the whole thing a bit more special when you finally get to open it. That is, providing that the postman hasn't used it as football en route. Here's to hoping...
Cheers
