One package was mailed 12/4, one 12/20, & one 12/30 from the same place, & they all arrived on 1/2. You would think Christmas delivery would be more organized by now, it's not like it's a surprise when it comes up.
Anyway, new dolls, new doll clothes, new doll miniatures, new doll rooms, new doll parts, new Nendoroids, lots of new.
EDITED: I just went out to the mailbox to get the rest of the mail & surprise! there was another box waiting for me, it was mailed on 12/21. Was the Post Office holding all my packages in a secret location until after the holidays?
With product packaging, doing what is best for the Earth also saves money.
Sustainable packaging needs to use recyclable materials drawn from sustainable sources, and needs to be designed intelligently to be efficient in materials and functionality. If it can be re-used as is, like your personal water bottle, all the better.
Improving consumer product sustainability is a lot about the "nuts and bolts" of product design and production, and packaging is one area where we can expect a tremendous amount of innovation in the next 5 years.
A 2019 Dodge Durango Police Package with the NYPD 107 PCT. A lot of these are being dispersed to different PCTs across the city now along with the 2020 FPIUs.
I totally, 100% stole this packaging from Cookieartisan. I've always used these boxes, but I never once thought to line them with anything. (Hey Maryann, any hints on lining these easier? It was a pain! But sooo pretty!) I just love how they look all packaged up!

I've been packaging my orders in different kinds of fun paper, such as school ruled, college ruled or ledger. It's amazing how pretty it can look dressed up with some ribbon or twine! Who would have thought school supplies could double as cute gift wrap?
Not many if any places to see a pair of SD35's running now days in the US, here GLC 383 and 384 work the interchange with the Ann Arbor RR at Osmer siding just north of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Nice compact packages these SD35's seen from above, if only EMD had cataloged an SD30, that would have been a pretty swell looking unit - August 23, 2024.
On Friday the 13th, a mystery package arrived on our front porch! We had not ordered anything and since Christmas was long over with, so we had no idea who it could be from.
To our surprise, inside the box was a funny & adorable stained glass set of silly owls to hang in our window. They have already brightened up the gray winter days and made my husband & I smile!
The gift enclosure said. "We titled these cute little owls, "Dare to be Different," and the gift was from our great-granddaughter, who is five and loves to read. We send her books about all manner of nature subjects. She had been recently reading a book that I had sent her. She decided that we would like these, so her grandparents, facilitated sending the gift! I created this series by taking photos of the owls hanging in our kitchen window and used colorful edits to print out and send to her. I am going to try to compose a story for her about the owls arrival and what they have been doing since their arrival.
WEEK 52.1 – Flashback 2016: Hernando Walmart (IV)
Here’s a look at the packaged deli sign, which hung from the ceiling above some coffin cases and the coolers along the right-side wall. As much as I like these classic Project Impact pillow signs, the ones in grocery here seemed a little redundant: they have text on both sides, but the side opposite the one pictured above really isn’t of much use! With the black décor 2.0 remodel, one-sided signs replaced these and simply line the wall.

While confined indoors with a little flu I thought about packaging, walked through the house and photographed some. Quite badly I might add.
We overpackage, there is no doubt about it. And its become not only an environmental but a security issue
Sometimes some innovative people make something new out of old packaging - see top left (part of a giraffe made of old cans) and top right (angel made of old cans).

WEEK 34 – Horn Lake Walmart, Set I
Last but not least for this Saturday, a semi-close-up of the HL WM's packaged deli department. I will say that the signage doesn't look all that bad here (and indeed, I liked the original Impact, and admit that the following iterations did keep its fundamental design intact even if it cheapened the physical quality of the décor pieces)... it's just the lack of signage elsewhere, in more zoomed-out views, that contributes to the “cheap” environment. But I'll get more into that next time, which is in two weeks.
Next week – speaking of “iterations,” more from the Southaven Gordmans reopening is on its way...!
