This photograph was taken soon after midnight with a bright sun and a cloudless sky. The pack-ice north of Spitzbergen looked like crazy paving.
Chinese girls hang out in packs. Loud, overdressed, giant-purse carrying packs. It's amazing. I was trying to get a shot of these over dressed girls, but all I got were their feet as they avoided the rain. I think it works.
It made me think of that song... Chinese Girl[1]

Battery pack - 15mm wood dowel cut to the length of a AA battery. Drilled a hole down the center and in from the side. Fished a wire through and secured with a wood screw. Now to connect to a 9V regulated power supply.

•Proper disposal of human waste is important to avoid pollution of water sources, avoid the negative implications of someone else finding it, minimize the possibility of spreading disease and maximize the rate of decomposition.
•Portable eco-friendly human waste disposal systems which allow you to safely "Pack It Out" are commercially available and recommended.
•Solid human waste must be packed out from some places, such as narrow river canyons or fragile alpine settings.
•To bury human feces in the correct manner, choose a spot at least 200' away from water sources and campsites, dig a small hole at least six inches deep, and cover it when you are through. Seal your toilet paper in a bag, pack it out, and dispose of it properly.
•Always pack out any kind of feminine products.
•Urinating on rocks, pine needles, and gravel is less likely to attract wildlife. Diluting urine with water from a water bottle can help minimize negative effects.

A Week of Daily Photos – 01
I had grand plans for how I was going to go out and capture my first photo, but the day didn't turn out that way. I did capture this wonderful moment, however, when my five-month-old was reaching his limit on his own in the Pack 'n Play, so I got in and we played together for a while. He loves to play when someone is nearby.
