We introduced the pacifier a few days ago - she's still not very good at it, though. Oh sure, it works at pacifiying her, but only briefly. Within a minute or two it'll fall out of her mouth and then she'll cry until you put it back in. Repeat every minute or two.

I'm both fascinated and dismayed by the seduction our gadgets have on our being present in the moment.

Neither of our other two boys were interested in a "passy" so we tried to introduce it earlier with Luke in hopes that he would accept it. He was willing for a while, but for the most part, now he just gags when we try and put it in his mouth ;)
