Pacific Ocean coast of Oregon and no one around for miles and miles. . .complete solitude. . .and we like that just fine.

Actually, I was looking for the mating pair of Peregrine Falcons, but the Brown Pelicans did keep doing fly-bys of the seaside cliffs to keep me entertained. This was the only one I got in full breeding color though.
Went to Shore Acres last night to see what it looks like under a full moon. The light was too bright and the ocean too calm. Just a beautiful night but not great for pics. Ended up using the old double-exposure ploy. Shot the landscape at 14mm and the moon at 200mm. Shore Acres State Park, Oregon. June 18 & 19, 2016.
Last Thursday after work I took a ride out to San Gregorio Beach along the San Mateo County coastline. After a day in the sterile halls of Corporate America this was just what the doctor ordered. As you can see, it was a particularly beautiful evening--the perfect counterpoint to all the gnashing of teeth, wringing of hands, and pulling of hair that form the daily experiences of life at the office. In fact, all those woes were quickly washed away by the breeze on my cheek, the white noise of the surf, and the calling of the sea birds.
