Remember the popular 1980 video game Pac-Man? As I approached the rim of this scenic overlook, the small pine tree immediately reminded me of the iconic Pac-Man. I had to stop and take a photo before I even got closer to the edge to get the real ‘money-shot’ looking down into the canyon. Photographed at Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area in Utah.

SETÚBAL (Portugal): Paços do Concelho.

For Macro Mondays - Sidelit

At first I was angry that the chestnuts fell out of the shell - it was supposed to be a nice shape to another picture ... but after a closer look I discovered this funny face, with a second look I discovered the face of Pac-Man :) Macro Mondays group is a very inspirational and creative group and often gives a lot of surprising effects :)

I believe this shot and my previous post are examples of sharing a handful of photos that just work for me. Photos that I don't expect will fully resonate with most people and understand why they wouldn't.

Each has an element that just sits with me, but I suppose that is what comes with spending too much time on a similar subject or just enjoying a certain tone or shadow. Either way I would rather have some that represent what I appreciate than something that just garners more favorites, likes etc.
