Kölner Altstadt

Kaum ein Denkmal ist den Kölnerinnen und Kölnern so sehr ans Herz gewachsen wie das Reiterdenkmal zu Ehren von König Friedrich Wilhelm III. auf dem Heumarkt, im Volksmund liebevoll "et Pääd" genannt. Bis Ross und Reiter in ihrer heutigen Gestaltung stolz auf dem beeindruckenden Sockel thronen konnten, war es allerdings ein weiter Weg.

Siento que esta es la fotografia del año, fue una toma que hice en un lugar perdido en medio de uno de los viajes, estaba solo, con hambre, con frio, pero feliz.

A view in the morning from the Riva degli Schiavoni quay over the candelabra to the Basilica of San Giorgio Maggiore. The architect Paladio designed the church on the small island. High from the campanile you have one of the most beautiful views over the lagoon city.

Alternatively called Kai. Lovingly referred to as "Kaihote" and "Hound", among other things. She's going to be 10 in May. She's been my lifeline since day one when I adopted her in July of 2009. To sum it up, she's my heart and soul. I am incomplete without her.
