52 Weeks Project

A sunny morning in Paris and found this sunny spot for my 52-Weeks selfportrait for this week...

Location: Jardin Nelson Mandela, Allée Baltard, Paris 1er (F)

Coordinates: 48°51'44.2"N 2°20'42.3"E

Reason: I spent the morning in Paris to find the two latest space invaders PA_1484 and PA_1485 and the re-activated PA_927.

Saint-Eustache: The Église Saint-Eustache is a church in the 1st arrondissement of Paris. The present building was built between 1532 and 1632.

Situated near the site of Paris' medieval marketplace (Les Halles) and rue Montorgueil, Saint-Eustache exemplifies a mixture of multiple architectural styles: its structure is Flamboyant Gothic while its interior decoration and other details are Renaissance and classical.

Jardin Nelson Mandela: The Nelson-Mandela Garden, formerly Jardin des Halles, is a green space of about four hectares in the middle of the Halles district of the 1st arrondissement, in the center of the city of Paris, France. It was created in the 1980s on the site of the former Halles de Paris. The garden rests on the slab that covers the Forum des Halles, a shopping center that also houses some cultural activities. The garden includes several lawns and numerous plantations of trees and shrubs. Among the remarkable elements are the children's garden, a tropical greenhouse buried in the basement and the Place René-Cassin which forms a small amphitheater. A redesign of the garden, carried out in parallel with that of the Forum, began in 2010 and was completed in 2018.

Weather: Sunny, 6° (maximum today was 12° C)

To Listen ♫: Caira - Loneliness (Youtube)

Self-portrait technics: Joby portable gorillapod on a bench, timer on 10 seconds.
