PO74 is pounding by the station at Moscow on an early September day with a hint of fall in the air. As they rolled by it took me back to Brownville Jct where I worked either 2nd or 3rd trick, listening to westbounds leaving was an added benefit of the job.
I made it trackside only once last month and it was a day well spent with friends on the DL. Here PO75 is west of Gouldsboro headed for Scranton.
JJL and I headed North on Monday afternoon matching up with MRL, DanK and Grundy spending part of the day hanging out photographing PO74 with them on Tuesday. On the West trip to Scranton we heard Tower 60 instruct PO75 to set out their train at Nay Aug and would be held at the West End so the yard job with 15 carloads of grain for the next Pocono train could get by them and setting them out before the crew went on their hours. I never tire of hearing the 251's.
Freshley painted C425s 2461-2452 lead s Southbound empty sand train through Carbondale, Pa. on the old D&H Penn Division on 09-20-2025. Thanks goes to the DL for doing such a great job of restoring these beautiful locomotives. I would love to see the two Cartier locomotive painted in a D&H inspired lightning stripe scheme. One can only hope.

PO74 is rolling by Mattes Ave Tower and will pick up a handful of cars just outside of town before heading East.

The Erie purchased a dozen Baldwin DRS 6-6-1500 road switchers in 1950 and were assigned at times to ore dock service between Cleveland Ohio and Youngstown Ohio. They were also used in coal service between Brockway Pa. and Salamanca NY. In 1965 the Hornell Shops converted #1150 into a slug used mainly in hump duty and transfer service paired up with another loco. Almost all were scrapped by the very early seventies. I had to run an errand in Waynesboro Pennsylvania this morning so I took some pics. I'm pretty sure this is a Chevrolet but what is this bodystyle of work truck called? Is it a panel van? Feel free to post a comment.
EDIT: 1941-47 Chevrolet AK series panel van. Thank you Graham Woodward! I knew one of my contacts would help!!!!!
EDIT: Further details - 1946 Chevy Panel. Thank you Sherry Shockey!
