I like these. I made wire keys that look like they've been drawn with a pencil, to match the scribbley feel of the chain and wonky look of the hearts.

roll pressed texture on silver, oxidised and pierced, paper, perspex

Laser welded stainless steel and oxidised silver wires. This brooch was based on a couple of times when I helped the Battery Hen Welfare Trust with re-homing 'spent' battery hens. I was struck by the way they flapped their wings when they came out of the crates they'd been transported in. This brooch is featured in Amanda Mansell's book 'Adorn'.

I love how this colour combination turned out. Red Garnet, orange Sunstone, brown Andulasite and bronzy Pyrite. Just added to my Etsy shop.

"No!", you gasp in (mock) horror.

But of course. As Ms Dickinson so very aptly puts it, "A little Madness in the Spring, is wholesome even for the King." Or Queen, as the case may be.

Enough said.

This visually arresting cuff is as carefree as it is captivating. It flaunts unabashedly even as it feigns innocence behind veils of chains. Gemstones featured here are:-

> Pink Tourmaline

> Brazilian Blue Apatite

> Mystic Pink Quartz

> Green Onyx

> Mystic Apricot Topaz

> Brazilian Amethyst

> Peridot

> Brazilian Carnelian

> Orange Sapphire

> Rhodolite Garnet

Profusions of Vintage Red Enamel and 14K Gold Plated Chains create most the stunning effects ever.

Pliant whilst remaining incredibly sturdy, The Queen Courts Excitement At A Red Light District best fits wrists sized from 6" onwards. The extension chain allows for adjustability up to 9". A stunning Hot Pink Chalcedony Briolette, crowned with a single Polished Brazilian Amethyst Round, and one final Mystic Apricot Topaz Briolette dangle coyly. For maximum impact, all wires used are a combination of 925 Sterling and 999 Fine Silvers.

THE QUEEN COURTS EXCITEMENT AT A RED LIGHT DISTRICT is part of the MATA HARI Collection.

An artistic showcase of bejewelled interpretations inspired by the captivating and openly flirtatious dance movements pioneered by Dutch-Frisian Exotic Dancer and Courtesan, Mata Hari.

Bold, provocative designs synonymous with the term Femme Fatale.

One of the bestselling books of all time, the literary classic, "She", was penned by H Rider Haggard in 1887 and remains, to this day, an impressive epitome of well-written imaginative literature. The title is short for "She Who Must Be Obeyed", a translation of the Arabic honorific used for Ayesha by the Amahagger, a tribe whom she has enslaved. With the main character supposedly inspired by the Balobedu Rain Queen Masalanabo Modjadji.

Mysterious, gorgeous, scary, elusive, passionate, powerful, fearful and desirable, Ayesha is the prototypical all-powerful female figure.

This wristwrapper, She Who Must Be Obeyed, is a lush adaptation of the novel's theme of power + life, death + reincarnation, of sexuality, and of fate.

Very RARE, very HIGH GRADE Russian Purple Charoite Briolettes abound in this design - an entire strand, truth be told - the colour *purple* was the only way to go to accurately interpret the themes of strength, intrigue, sensuality, ruthlessness and lust.

The centrestone here is a large, impressive nugget of Mystic Blue Grey Quartz weighing a hefty 27 Carats. Yes, this is my shard of Amenartas :) and it's been simply but prettily accented with contrasting trims of Rhodolite Garnet and Brazilian Blue Apatite.

Remember those super RARE, highly coveted Russian Purple Charoite Briolettes? These drape sensuously around the wrist, cavorting quite shamelessly with Mystic Black Topaz Disco Balls and Briolettes of Polished Kyanite, Moss Aquamarine, RARE Grape Chalcedony and Colombian Emeralds.

She Who Must Be Obeyed would be incomplete without the presence of Labradorite. Here, that powerful gemstone makes its appearance in the form of Mystic Briolettes, Polished Rounds as well as Onion Briolettes with super schiller.

Subtle colour surfaces in Ruby Rounds, and Ovals of Sapphire and Blue Apatite.

The dynamic duo of Lobster Claw Clasp and extension chain effortlessly enables this piece to be adjusted from 7" to 9.25". Owing to her decadent clusters, she best fits wrists sized from 5.5" to 7.25".

A wee note about the polishing - I intentionally buffed specific bits only and allowed others to remain darkly sexy in order to illustrate, yes you got it, the play of dark versus light.

Just relisted this mixed metal Chrysocolla necklace.

This is the last Chrysocolla bead that I have in this light green colour, so I won't ever be able to make it like this again. Chrysocolla rarely comes in this colour.

"She" or "She: A History of Adventure" is an 1887 novel by H Rider Haggard which developed the conventions of the Lost World sub-genre, a style that many other authors have since emulated.

In this work, "She" is Ayesha, more (in)famously known as "She Who Must Be Obeyed", the exquisite yet deadly White Queen of the African city of Kôr. The prototypical all-powerful female figure, Ayesha is both desired and feared. A breathtakingly beautiful creature who won't hesitate to kill anyone who displeases her or stands in her way, Ayesha has been waiting 2000 years for the reincarnation of her lover Kallikrates, whom she'd slain in a fit of jealous rage. She believes Vincey (our hero) to be a reincarnation of Kallikrates.

And so, in accordance with the themes prevalent in Haggard's tome, I present Ayesha the earrings.

A celebration of power, sensuality, passion, mystery, these danglers are perhaps the most petite I've ever designed in terms of length but perfectly embody the flamboyance and lush opulence you've come to expect from Eclettica.

Intriguing Polished Ovals of Brazilian Blue Apatite are wrapped within gilded Herringbone cages of Oxidised Silver, accented with Blood Red Rhodolite Garnets. Tumbling downwards are waterfalls of Blue Flash Labradorite Rondelles speckled with more Blue Apatite as well as Colombian Emeralds.

Each cascade climaxes with pure shots of luxe gems namely a Polished Kyanite Briolette, a Faceted Teal Kyanite Briolette and a singular very RARE, very HIGH GRADE Russian Purple Charoite Briolette which has been crowned with a final Colombian Emerald Rondelle.

Ayesha flows Southwards to the tune of 2.25" and features lavish use of both 925 Sterling and 999 Fine Silvers. Ear Posts feature a beautifully archaic design.

As with her matching bracelet, She Who Must Be Obeyed, I intentionally polished specific bits only and allowed others to remain darkly sexy in order to illustrate, yes you got it, that mysterious but oh so alluring play of dark versus light.

I wanted to capture the soul of one of Japan's most celebrated geishas, Sayuri, in earrings aptly baptised as Through The Eyes Of A Geisha.

Indeed, it is through her amazingly striking eyes are we given a backstage view of the ancient and secretive geisha district, Gion, and of the lives of the women who learn and practice the rigorous arts of the geisha.

Through (seemingly identical, emphasis on the word "seemingly") swirls and twirls; and dark intriguing hues interspersed with flashes of light, I've attempted to portray an unparalleled look at a strange and mysterious world which has now almost vanished.

That touch of brazen red coupled with cascades of chains and passionate bejewelled clusters serve to recreate an unforgettable, dazzling portrait of a singular and most seductive woman who tells her story in a compelling first person voice.

Gemstones used are Ceylonese Moonstone Ovals, Rare Green Sunstone Briolettes, Red Coral, Sky Blue Topaz Briolettes and buttery smooth Polished Rounds of Topaz as well as Blue Labradorite.

Through The Eyes Of A Geisha drapes an approximate 3.5" drop from Bali Silver Ear Posts set with Genuine Marcasite. All wires and chains are 925 Sterling and 999 Fine Silvers.

THROUGH THE EYES OF A GEISHA is an exclusive one-of-a-kind design, available only from the studio of Eclettica.

An icon of dangerous female seductiveness, Salome is emblematic of the femme fatale, a fashionable trope of Fin de Siecle decadence. More than merely the dancing girl who extorts a cry of lust from an old man by the lascivious contortions of her body; who breaks the will, and masters the mind of a King by the spectacle of her quivering bosoms, heaving belly and tossing thighs; Salome has risen (if we can quite put it so eloquently) above all these to be revered as the symbolic incarnation of world old Vice.

The spotlight now shines upon said alluring movements as we proudly present The Dance Of The Seven Veils, Starring Salome.

I've endeavoured to portray every nuance of lust-inciting sensuality and fiery desire the world has come to associate Salome's performance with, into this magnificent neckpiece.

My magnum opus exudes an air of undeniable eroticism as precision-faceted Rondelles of Rubies, Pink Sapphires, Whiskey Quartz and Pink Amethyst twine and intertwine along and around one's decolletage. Polished Nuggets of Honey Topaz and Pink Sapphire suggest an air of nonchalence even as Spessartine Garnet Briolettes infuse spurts of wicked colour.

Unapologetically flamboyant, the pendant is truly the wire-wrapped counterpart to all things sensual and beguiling. Fasten your sights upon those curvaceous whirls and twirls. Feel the stirrings of desire within you to possess those beautiful gemstones that which beckon and call you.

Prominently festooned with an Opal set within a 14K Solid Yellow Gold Bezel, a single smooth pebble of Honey Topaz kickstarts the crowning glory of this visual depiction of moral turpitude.

Hark!! Heed the siren song of that ENTRANCING Whiskey Quartz Focal whose vital statistics of 50mm and 131 Carats make one oblivious to all else.

Cavorting alongside it are decadent trims of BLACK DIAMOND BRIOLETTES, Orange Sapphires, Rubies, Pink Sapphires, Spessartine Garnets, Pink Amethyst and more Whiskey Quartz.

Rational thought is futile.

As evidenced from the snapshots, Presenting "The Dance Of The Seven Veils", Starring Salome, is as diverse in her applications as she is in disarming the enemy. Wear her closer to the neck or dangling low or wrapped around twice for a layered look. Measuring 22" with an extension chain proferring adjustability options up to 30", Presenting "The Dance Of The Seven Veils", Starring Salome can (in truth) be hooked at any point. You call the shots.

Her focal stands 7" tall sans the crowning Polished Topaz Nugget, 8.75" with. All wires used are a combination of 925 Sterling and 999 Fine Silvers.

"How all the other passions fleet to air,

As doubtful thoughts and rash embraced despair

And shuddering fear and green-eyed jealousy!"

The Merchant Of Venice ~ Shakespeare, 1596 - 1598

Ahh, Envy.

An emotion which occurs when one covets another's quality or possession. That sensation of invidiousness which (often) culminates in the surfacing of a green-eyed monster. And whilst envy is generally perceived as something negative, it can also propel a person to achieve self-betterment.

Envy can *indeed* be a driving force: it's just a matter of personal choice as to whether one turns right or left at the emotional crossroads.

L'invidia di una Donna (Italian for The Envy Of A Woman) is a stage for my reenactment of the envious vibes I sense around me. Be they mine directed at others or the other way around, it really doesn't matter ... this neckpiece was designed as (what I hope to be) a positive, visual representation of E.N.V.Y.

Set to turn beholders positively green with envy, the pendant is a lavish composition of swirls, twirls and whirls in, yes you've got it, shades of Green peppered with touches of Yellow as well as flashes of Silver Black.

My starring cast includes Brazilian Neon Apatite, Mystic Green Topaz, Blue Flash Labradorite, Mystic Citrine, teeny weeny Seed Pearls and Mystic Green Quartz with the undoubted pièce de résistance - a stunning Apple Green Peruvian Chrysoprase Focal measuring an enviable 30mm.

With vital stats of 4.5" tall by about 3.25" wide, L'invidia di una Donna and her pendant speak volumes about unleashing the green-eyed monster in onlookers. Drape her around your neck from 20" to 26" by virtue of a pretty large link chain and handmade Clasp set with a single Brazilian Neon Apatite Rondelle. Wires are a marriage of 925 Sterling and 999 Fine Silvers, chains are 925 Sterling Silver.

One of the earliest femme fatales to have ever been recorded, Lucrezia Borgia was the daughter of Rodrigo Borgia, the powerful Renaissance Valencian who later became Pope Alexander VI. Her family later came to epitomise the ruthless Machiavellian politics and sexual corruption alleged to be characteristic of the Renaissance Papacy. Lucrezia herself was cast as a femme fatale, a role she has been portrayed as, in numerous artworks, novels and films.

In fact, it is even rumoured that Lucrezia was in possession of a hollow ring she used frequently to poison drinks. I wouldn't want to get on her bad side.

My necklace is a study in femme fatale disarray with lavish accents of theatrical pageantry thrown in for good measure. Rather like my muse.

AN HEIRLOOM Brazilian Amethyst Focal - superbly, flawless, magnificently finished and voluptuous at 40mm, 50 Carats - instantly captivates. She stands proud amidst sensual curtains of Mystic Purple Amethyst, Black Spinel, Rhodolite Garnet, petite Amethyst and Mystic Labradorite with schiller so strong you could spot the shine from a mile away.

These waterfalls of gems cascade artfully from drapes and swages of chains with Labradorites + Amethyst *bridges* which have been tenderly woven together with yet more clusters of Rondelles of Black Spinel as well as Mystic Labradorite. And that single spot of colour? A Blood Red African Ruby Rondelle.

This piece is a true COLLECTIBLE.

Bejewelled in the most sublime fashion possible, Portrait Of Lucrezia Borgia measures a length of 20.5", this being adjustable up to 22.25". Her magnificent pendant portion is a luscious 4.75".

Inspired by an eight title novel series of the same name, penned by Marjorie W Sharmat. Need I really say more?? :)

Girly clusters of teeny weeny White Seed Pearls flirt coyly alongside equally petite Black Spinel Rondelles from a hand-fashioned Diamond featuring delicate lace-like weaves. Dotting the sides are perhaps the *most* exquisite Zircons I've ever laid eyes upon. These sparkle so wonderfully, with such translucency and beauty, they babies could easily be mistaken for Brown Diamonds. Truly.

Divine Polished Labradorite Rounds do their flash-show thingy with blue streaks as these lithe waterfalls culminate in crisp Rock Crystal Quartz in a spanking Pentagon Shape.

And what would something baptised as Sorority Sisters be without a dash of eye-popping Pink Chalcedony Cubes? Molly Ringwald herself would approve.

Sorority Sisters cascades a 2.75" drop from feminine Bali Silver Ear Posts featuring Pearls in an ethereal Silver. All wires used are 999 Fine Silver whilst chains are 925 Sterling Silver.

A musical form that has been used widely since the early Classical period, Sonata (or the Sonata form) is the most important principle of musical form. The term Sonata (derived from the Italian word suonare, to sound on instrument) originated in the 17th Century, when instrumental music had just begun to separate itself from vocal music.

While it is typically used in the first movement of multimovement pieces, Sonata is also sometimes employed in subsequent movements.

Personally, as a Jewellery Designer, Sonata is to me the relationship between textures, materials and colours. Sometimes harmoniously, at other times, in intentional discord. I feel that my role is as the puppet master (if you like) who orchestrates this tactile cohabitation. Who recognises the pivotal role played by each component as well as the eventual culmination of all elements into one single entity. One finished piece.

Which is why I'm really tremendously proud to present before you, my Sonata In Fucsia - a composition of all the facets key to a visually arresting melody - texture; material and colour.

These three attributes are represented by those spanking Rock Crystal Quartz in an equally spanking Pentagon Shape! These are beautifully accented by the sleekness of Fuchsia Chalcedony Cubes, the smoothness of Black Garnet Pebbles as well as Blue Flash Labradorites and the refreshingly crisp look of Faceted Silver Pearls.

Into this picturesque tune, I've added Rainbow Moonstone Wheels and Rondelles, Chalcedony Briolettes in an explosive Poppy Pink, truly intriguing Polished Grey Moonstone Briolettes and Moss Amethyst Briolettes showcasing the most mesmerising forest of black needles.

This lyrical feast for the eyes wraps around your wrist in a most sublime fashion, raising to a crescendo like no other!!

Sonata In Fucsia climaxes in a tri-pitch ensemble of Chalcedony Briolette, Rock Crystal Quartz Pentagon and a nifty Diamond-Shaped Charm composed entirely of Natural Zircons. Perhaps the *most* exquisite Zircons I've ever laid eyes upon, these sparkle so wonderfully. Such translucency and beauty, these babies could easily be mistaken for Brown Diamonds. I kid you not.

Sonata In Fucsia stretches an approximate 9.25" but best fits wrists sized 5.5" to 7.5" due to its profusive style. All wires are 999 Fine Sterling, le chains are Italian Silver and the Clasp is 925 Sterling Silver.

An odd-bod trio of three comfy shapes in warm, muted colours. A piece of leather, a cast glass cabochon and a formed piece of tin reclaimed from Italian biscuit tin. I like this one, pretty but not symmetrical or shiny-pretty. I'm going to make a few more in this vein I reckon.

Walnut and oxidised silver. This brooch was based on a quick sketch I made of an Abyssinian Ground Hornbill in London Zoo. I was working on integrated clasps, so that's all one bit of silver going right round. I crocheted the fine silver wire to shade an area. When I say I crocheted I mean I used a crochet hook: I didn't follow any proper sort of stitching technique!

Showing the claws that hold the 3 elements in place. 3 contrasting yet complimenting shapes, colours and materials.

Floral reclaimed tin dish, with Aventurine stone. Edge of silver beading.

There is a lesser known but nonetheless provocative book by Ms Bronte called "Shirley: A Tale" which depicts two vastly different heroines in 19th Century England.

One is the shy Caroline Helstone, who is trapped in the oppressive atmosphere of a Yorkshire rectory and whose bare life symbolizes the plight of single women of the time. The other is the vivacious Shirley Keeldar, who inherits a local estate and whose wealth liberates her from convention.

I've really tried to capture of essence of who I believe Shirley the woman to be, and more so, the conflicts she must have endured, in "Shirley: A Tale", the earrings.

For instance, the use of Oxidized Silver Wire, Leverbacks, Bead Caps, Bali Silver and Brazilian Kyanites serves to symbolize the stifling circumstance within which she lived. Paradoxically, elements of the woman she was are personified in the Pink Amethyst Coins, Black Roses (ironically a symbol of female rebellion) and Vintage Filigree Fans. Neither is Shirley's unexpected wealth forgotten as illustrated in the use of Vintage Rhinestone Connectors.

These earrings are a fabulous illustration of how women must have lived, laughed and loved over two centuries ago.

Another one of those focals I'd *forgotten* I had :D

This one measures 50mm, glorious.
