This tubby origami cat reminds me of Garfield. ;-)) Some of his famous quotes are "I'm not overweight. I'm undertall." or "Feed me."
This origami cat is related to the 'Sitting Cat' and the 'Napping Cat' (see first comment box). The designer is the same.
This is the more complex one, so a bigger sheet of paper is needed. I used a 24x24cm orange tant paper.

Today is an orange day at Color my World Daily and the theme at Crazy Tuesday is stripes. And we have Mr. Teddy Bear with us to celebrate Happy Teddy Bear Tuesdays.
Apparently stripes are Mr. Teddy bear favorite pattern of all times… I must admit: stripes are cool. However, you have to be careful while wearing stripes… If you are like me, or Mr. Teddy bear (slightly overweight … but still loving your body) you don’t want to wear horizontal stripes…Those will make you look bigger and some people may just assume that you are overweight and not just slightly overweight… But if you wear horizontal stripes: you will look taller… However if you are already very tall, don’t wear horizontal stripes !! People will assume that you are way too tall… But honestly who cares ? Just wear what you want and if stripes are « it », go for it and just look fabulous ! I’m wearing a black and white, horizontally striped shirt for today’s video meeting !! And I don’t care ;-) !

I think that dieting is on the horizon for Ms. Twilight 😊, although, I'll probably have to put the others on a diet, too. I learned the hard way about the dangers of allowing pets to become overweight.
Yesterday our cats had their annual health check and shots. Our vet Gitte has taken care of this for many years now - and although Bastian is a bit overweight, she rewarded him with a few delicious treats for being such a good boy...

My girl Brüni loves it when I'm with her in the garden. She finds a shadowy spot close to me and snoozes peacefully until I leave or it's time to eat. Here, it was time to eat. 😉
P.S. She has lost almost two pounds since I took this shot. There was a time when she was overweight. That was my fault, though. I didn't know the appropriate amount of wet food for a cat and accidentally overfed her. Please take care of your furbaby. Overfeeding is detrimental for a cat's health and longevity.

Ok....she's not so little but she's still my dumplin. We try so hard to help her lose weight but.........as you can see it's a hard road to travel. This is how she watches TV.
Happy belated Caturday!
Ginger and Liam know I'm scatterbrained and am often busy on weekends, particularly when there's holiday shopping to be done. They forgive me for missing Caturday once again.
One funny thing about this photo: Ginger, the orange tiger in the foreground, is only very slightly overweight, while Leemy, the brown tiger in the background, needs to lose some weight. The camera can lie!

She was living a hard life when she came to live with us many years ago. She's fat and happy now. We're working on the overweight part but her face sure says she's happy. She makes me smile.
I've had more fried chicken in the last 18 months than I've probably had in the last 18 years . Covid has made me a little overweight and my diet starts....
Der Grund warum ich in den letzen Jahren kaum Bilder hochlud ist, das ich mein Leben komplett umgekrempelt habe. Ich brachte noch vor gut 3 1/2 Jahren 105 kg auf die Waage. Bekam dann aber gesundheitliche Probleme, aufgrund meines Übergewichtes und habe dann mein Leben von einem Tag auf den anderen komplett umgekrempelt. Angefangen Kraft- und Ausdauertraining zu machen und meine Essgewohnheiten umgestellt. Mittlerweile sinds 40kg weniger und ich bereue nichts. Allerdings blieb dabei die Fotografie ziemlich auf der Strecke. Hab mir vorgenommen das im kommenden Jahr wieder etwas mehr zu betreiben.
The reason why I haven't uploaded any pictures in the last few years is that I've completely turned my life upside down. A good 3 1/2 years ago I weighed 105 kg. But then I got health problems because of my overweight and then from one day to the next I completely turned my life upside down. I started doing strength and endurance training and changed my eating habits. Now it's 40kg less and I have no regrets. However, photography fell by the wayside. I decided to do it a little more in the coming year.

This is a cute rural cottage in Virginia. It needs a little TLC, but it is still being lived in. I wanted to get a picture of this fence before that overweight tree on the left cracked the slats in half. I am surprised that this particular section of fence hasn’t heaved out of the ground given all the roots.
We adopted little Charlotte when she was young and overweight. With patience and time, she lost most of the weight needed to be healthy. She is much happier!

Today my daughter had to let her dear boy go to the Rainbow Bridge. He was almost 13, but it is never enough time. He will be missed so much. He was a large Yorkshire Terrier, by today's tea cup, mini standard. He was 16 to 17 lbs, and not an ounce overweight.
Jeroen is very sad. His good friend Scout helped him out of the tutu, but only now he realizes he has some overweight.

Not a very flattering photo of Fynn but something different from my usual portrait shots and a possibility to show him in all his winterly fluffiness. Fynn isn't overweight, his about 10 pounds are okay for his size but he always has a very thick winter coat.
There is something definitely rotten in the State of Denmark. Sorry Denmark, Shakespeare made you an unlikely target. The first thing Ontario closed during the first lockdown in 2020, were the playgrounds. Now in February 2022, majority of the kids are still not permitted to do any sports. As I had a conversation with a 10 year old about his school day, they have math, 'language arts' -whatever that is, and gym today. What did you do in gym today I asked? Nothing! Nothing is permitted. Well, do not expect any Spiderman from this generation. Expect more and more overweight kids with computer game addictions.

Wyoming, DE Besides being chewed by overweight baseball managers, the sunflower seed is enjoyed by our avian friends and squirrels.
Ziggy, our cuddly Maine Coon kitty, thinks he's a little teensy thing that can curl up on my chest at night for a gigantic purr fest. Which is a wonderful thing. For the first five minutes. Then I have to breathe again, so he has to get off even though much of his weight is on my pelvis while his face is next to mine. Not so teensy. Being a great cat more than makes up for it!
We love Ziggy - our own Big Cat at home.
P.S. Ziggy isn't overweight ;) He's just a Maine Coon.
Part of my birthday bouquet
I used to be 70 - now I really am OLD - into borrowed time, beyond my allocation of three score years and ten!! Just depressing! On the other hand, my brain still works. And so long as I keep going to the gym, I am still moving without problems. I am overweight, so the wrinkles are few, and I have given up spending money on having highlights put in my hair, because now, the highlights reach the roots, so I have extra pennies to spend on fun stuff. Grandchildren can be given back to their parents, and enjoyed. And children are adults who are (mostly) able to live independent lives. Life is actually quite good!

What's even tougher is the diet and it hasn't been an overwhelming success so far. In months of a strict diet Cleo has lost 2 lbs. It's better than nothing and her mobility has improved but she has to lose more weight ... a lot more. And now it gets winter, a time when her activity level is close to zero. She already gets tiny portions of food compared to what the boys eat and the vet says that we can't reduce her daily ration any further because that would be even more dangerous for her health than her overweight. Feeding the cats is difficult these days. Cleo and Fynn both need their special diet food and are not supposed to touch the food Linus gets. As a result Linus is losing weight because he doesn't have constant access to food anymore as otherwise Cleo and Fynn would eat it too. I have now ordered a microchip controlled cat feeder for Linus which only opens for the cat with the right microchip. Let's hope he will use it.
We came across a very peaceful scene. The Geese were in various stages of repose or just plucking at their feathers. I had on the Sony A7rii a vintage lens called a Pentacon with which I had been trying my best to exploit it for its bokeh qualities. I saw this scene and stopped the lens down to f/11 and Jonathan held our dogs back on their leads whilst I crept stealthily forwards. Now creeping stealthily is not that easy when you are a bit ? overweight and have stiff joints but I was doing alright. All of a sudden another dog raced at the Geese barking and it took me a second or two the gather my wits and press the shutter button. At the very least you can see the lovely Colwick Country Park on a beautiful early evening...

Look carefully at all the levels of this city. There is no funicular only a road that switchbacks repeatedly to move up and down. Traffic is not permitted on the lower portions where the roads are very narrow.
Cleo came home from a stroll in the neighbour's garden with a feather on her nose. No, I don't think that she has actually killed a bird. Chasing birds means physical activity and that isn't Cleo's cup of tea. The fact that she is overweight and rather diet resistant doesn't make it any better. I guess the only way Cleo can kill a bird is by accidentally sitting on it. I hope she won't read this as she is already mad at me because of the new food bowl I have bought for her (see photo in the comments), any similarities are purely coincidential. :)

Hey up! I haven't been to see the ponies for five days. It's seemed a long, slow week. But it's a good time to stick my head up now and have a look around. It's almost the weekend and i think I might..... yes, I might.... go and look for goats or sheep or ponies, or Christmas shopping. HFF and all that! Mind you it's traditional for me to go to somewhere like Llanddwyn or Padarn to hang my baubles on a tree or something. But this year has been a strange one that has probably made us all a bit weird, grey haired and overweight. But I think we're all OK aren't we? Still here and raring to get going!? I know I am! I received a message from Instagram advising me their terms were changing. In Vietnamese. And called me "Pantling serriff". I wonder why?
Mack, who spent his whole life slightly overweight, is now starting to lose weight and Pippi is the sort of cat who wakes up and first thing she does is go to her food plate. It's automatic and she has gained too much weight since living with us.
Lately, Mack has been sleeping on a heated mat in a different room so I have tried hiding a plate of food for him right next to where he is sleeping. Hopefully Pippi won't discover this food source. Mack just barely woke up - as you can see one eye is still closed - but he just went back to sleep without eating.
Why is it that if you have two cats one needs to gain weight and the other needs to lose weight???

The stunning view from Fleetwith pike above Buttermere is breathtaking in more ways than one, especially when you're overweight and carrying an hefty camera bag/tripod, but your efforts are rewarded when you reach a point where you can take in the length of the view all the way past Crummock water.
On Saturday afternoon the weather cleared up. The cats went out in the garden even though Cleo didn't advance much further than the porch. Easter Bunny didn't want to be left behind and followed everyone outside. He has always admired Cleo since he first arrived several years ago but I honestly don't think that the feeling is mutual.
This isn't a very flattering photo of Cleo. She was about to groom her tummy when the Easter Bunny disturbed her and she looks even rounder than usual. Fact is that according to her vet she has lost 2 lbs over the last 6 months which isn't bad for a girl who has been overweight almost all her life.

If they had their choise, they'd prefer the fat pastures, though.
