Mama Goose watching her babies eat.. I counted 7 chicks with 2 adults here, and another larger chick with 2 adults just a few feet away.

Just a seagull standing on a post overlooking his territory.

San Francisco, California.

A whisper in the trees,

A shuffle in the leaves,

And hidden eye, so serene;

Something hidden, but yet unseen.

Vigilant, wary,

Always in wait,

Keeping patience,

Guarding peace.

A noble Shepherd, undisclosed,

Watching you,

and watching me.

This Northern Pintail drake keeps a close eye on his hen as he extends his neck to look for trouble next to the small stream they are both in at Potter Marsh. I spied this duo on one of the many smaller meter wide streams that network across Potter Marsh.

Taken 27 April 2022 at Potter Marsh, Anchorage, Alaska.

We never saw any male Rose-breasted grosbeaks (Pheucticus ludovicianus) this spring. There was only one male Baltimore Oriole. The males must not have stopped and asked for directions, the females did.

So Tim reminded me how much fun building Overwatch Characters were with his amazing - Mercy build.

So Winston see, Winston do, I decided it was time to add another character to my team - Zenyatta, which has now moved into my 3rd most played character past Bastion and Reinhardt.

My most played is hero still: Mercy.

And here's a bonus Zen Play of the Game by yours truly: youtu.be/qkv-TGul6lg

Thanks to DFI, EdgelessAbyss and Tim for some POTG advice and feedback.

PLEASE COMMENT IF YOU FAVE!

Zenyatta:

Not my favorite character in the game, but I love his look.

The base was a Commando Droid torso and head. He was completely painted silver, including the arms and feet (which are somewhat visible).

His legs were cut at about a 45° angle, and glued together. He has SuperBattleDroid feet, which were glued to where the minifig toe would've been.

His sash is made of paper and fabric.

The orbs are studs, glued to clear plastic, and attached to the back.

Overall I love how he turned out!

Thanks!

Boss

You may be wondering why I'm doing so many characters from Overwatch. So, reason why, is because I'm waiting for a BL order to come so I can finish these figs. Btw this is Zenyatta.

Less than 10 seconds earlier, the White pelicans were facing the same way but the GBH was facing us so it didn't stand out as well. FYI, in the extreme foreground there are also several ducks.

Some of the lesser known hikes in the Yukon hold great opportunities to stand on cliff edges and look out dramatically over landscapes. It's 100% a cliche, but I can certainly say that it was quite an experience to stand on this cliff edge. From here the landscape seems both distant and within reach at the same time - it's weird.

If you look closely you'll see the Dempster Highway - the car was parked down there with my tripod in it. I was so excited for the hike that I didn't notice leaving it in the car - I'm an idiot. Thankfully I had a good friend with me who was willing to give me a loaner while I was up there - provided that I carried it back down!

Taken with a Canon 5D IV and a 70-200 f/2.8L. Processed in Camera Raw and Photoshop.

A big horn sheep keeps track of us from the hillside above, near Gardiner, Montana and just outside the border of Yellowstone National Park.

Hey, if you ever want to see some bald eagles go to Skagit County, Washington. They're all over the place -- I think all year, but definitely more and more as it gets colder out.

Green Heron watching the dock

A re-edit of a previous post of this tower at #rozendaalseveld This time with my new knowledge of photographing and processing star trails and making composites. Very happy with the results :-)

A Great blue heron (Ardea herodias) sits on top of a snag above two American white pelicans (Pelecanus erythrorhynchos) at Lake Springfield. We've had many days of overcast skies and drizzle and this shot is almost the the lake's channel along the far side.

Pararescuemen from the German Air Force's 'Kampfretter' combat rescue unit carry a litter with a patient to a waiting CH-53GS from HSG 64 while an HH-60G Pave Hawk from the 55th Rescue Squadron provides overwatch.

Shot in support of my article on Angel Thunder 2016 which ran in the October 2015 issue of Air Forces Monthly: shop.keypublishing.com/issue/View/issue/AFM331

This juvenile Bald Eagle was perched high above the Mantanuska River - scanning for food. And I do mean high! I was about the same level as this eagle since I was at an overlook near the Glenn Highway. If you tumble down from the overlook it's likely to your death as it's several hundred feet to the river bed below. I had gone there to shoot Lazy Mountain as we have snow on the peaks now and someone there pointed out the eagle which I couldn't see from my vantage point. You can see some lightly snow-capped mountains in the background.

Taken 8 October 2018 in the Mantanuska-Susitna Valley, Alaska.

The construction of this Milan Cathedral started in the fourteenth century. It is one of the largest cathedrals in europe (the largest being St. Peter's Basilica in Rome) measuring almost 12,000 square meters. The building is very light in colour due to the extensive use of white marble. One of its stand out exterior features are the many pointed turrets (also called pinnacles) and the more than 2,000 statues.

Soo Overwatch was totally off my radar and then Youtube suggested me a little video called Zero Hour...

Yeah now I'm a bit inspired to make some figs of the new heroes and skins.

But for now an older OW pic that I hadn't uploaded yet.

That's it guys. I hope you like my take on Hanzo & Maximilian.

I've been playing more Overwatch instead of studying for exams, and come to find out that one of the only heroes I'm remotely good with is Reaper, and the design is dope.

If you follow me on Instagram, (www.instagram.com/jerdfigs) you know that the mask is sculpted on to the head alone to allow for a fabric hood, which I think is a lot better.

All of the 3d chest and back elements are sculpted as well, and all of the fabric is made of a Lego cape, including the hood.

The shells on his belt and chest are bits of a lever piece, and the little pendant(?) on the legs is fabric too. It's a bit messy, but don't worry, I've already cleaned it up.

Everything from the waist down is all sculpted, especially his 9000 belts, but except for the shells. The boots were a bit of a challenge, but in the end they turned out ok. They could be silver, but adding some matte black in there makes it look a whole lot cleaner, since silver paint is the antichrist.

His guns are 1x2 bricks and parts of a pole piece and one of those pieces ladders go on.

The gauntlets are cardstock. :P

I think this guy is my favorite I've made. I'm really happy how he turned out.

First time I've said it in a long time, but please comment if you favorite. I'd really love some feedback on this guy.

Also, I took a bit of inspiration off of Dylan's editing. it made the picture look 100 times better.

Thank you, and sorry for the novel of a desc!

"I didn’t start this war, but I’m damn well going to finish it!" ~ Soldier: 76

An old, abandoned grain storage building stands as a solitary sentinel amidst the vast prairie fields, its weathered structure illuminated against the night sky. Above, the Milky Way stretches across the heavens, a river of stars casting a celestial glow. The once industrious building now quietly watches over the tranquil landscape, bathed in the ethereal light of distant galaxies and starry brilliance.

I'd gone to Sevonia hoping to catch the mist in the lower trees of the Roaches. It never materialised as forecasted until as per usual it was time to go home! I was up on the top having a brew when all of a sudden it came from the NW. No time to drop below so I set up a quick timelapse and fired off a few frames at the longer end of the focal length.....

Must've build this ~3 month ago.
