A slightly different take on the dunes at White Sands. Instead of over-exposing the dunes, I wanted to see what they would look like at a distance with no compensation. This is right before last light when they turned almost purple.
Cornwall again, like one or two of the same landmark in Newquay but from a different angle, the sun and part of the sky was over exposed and I thought I had lost this, but new learnt techniques in PS have saved the day, just love that sky!
A direct shot into bright sun and the best of the 3 bracketed exposures, but in retrospect the burnt out image seems an appropriate metaphor for the risks and challenges we face in 2021 !
shot in killarney co kerry, lake surrounding ross castle..
i over exposed by 2 stops to give the dreamy feel the backlighting helped achive the result..
Stardust Universe
This was another image that set to over-exposing to create cartoonish drawing effect.

Wreckage of the B29 Superfortress 'Overexposed' which crashed at Higher Shelf Stones near Bleaklow summit on 3rd November 1948. All 13 crew were killed. Probably in similar conditions experienced on this particular walk.
A wild plant you see everywhere , so very intricate in it`s make up.
An over exposed image shot against a white background .
These leaves were glowing in the early morning light so I deliberately over exposed them a little to try and show this.
Another roll of film and my Minolta XG-1 35mm film camera...
Something must have happened loading the film as this over exposed area is in the first 3 photos loading it in...
looked like Captain Kirk was materialising.....! :o)
A dull and drab day in the woods ( last February ) no colour and definitely no atmosphere so I took a couple of overexposed images, converted to mono in lightroom and this is one of the images….. I have another to follow….
The Tree
This is a series that I originally wanted to do in 2015 when I first bought my compact Sony RX 100 IV. I was playing around with the setting, and I found out that I could create some interesting drawing effects by tuning the exposure setting. This was a setting that set to over-exposing to create this thin line-art effect.

Over exposed is more like it. As I go through my photos, deleting the bad ones before downloading, ones like this catch my eye. I don't know why. It sort of like sun flare. Some people see it and see a blown shot. For me there unique. Hope you enjoy the unique ones to.

The lone figure on the beach, my daughter Elizabeth, takes photos of Icebergs on Jökulsárlón in southeastern Iceland. Jökulsárlón is known as Iceland’s iceberg lagoon and is a proglacial lake behind the terminal moraine created by the glacier, Breiðamerkurjökull. The icebergs form when the ice calves off the glaciers snot into the water. The black color material in the ice is made up of till, rocks and sediment eroded by the glacier. Generally till is more common toward the base of the glacier. Sometimes the icebergs tip over exposing the dark till on top of icebergs like in the case of the 2 large Icebergs in this photo.
Almost 70 years ago, on 3rd November 1948, a US Airforce Boeing RB-29 Superfortress descended through cloud on its planned approach to Burtonwood air force base just west of Manchester near Warrington. It had only been a short flight from the RAF bomber base at Scampton but they had flown into strong headwinds. The navigator must have misjudged the strength of the wind, and without being able to see the ground, estimated that they were already over Manchester and should descend through the cloud ready for landing. The 13 crew on board probably never saw the raised moorland around Higher Shelf Stones, 2000 feet up on Bleaklow, as the aircraft crashed into the hillside. All on board perished in the impact which scattered parts of the large aircraft over a considerable area.
Today much of the aircraft is still visible but is slowly decomposing in the harsh landscape. Much of the aluminium skin of the aircraft is corroding and being washed away by the heavy rainfall or blown away as dust on the strong winds that are a feature of that exposed place. Some may have sunk into the boggy peat.
It's ironic the aircraft had been nick named "Over exposed", the aircraft's nose art depicting a naked blonde, now that it lies very naked and exposed on the hillside. It's a sombre place, a memorial to the men who died there. And a sad end to an aircraft that must have flown around the world, many times, including missions to Bikini Atoll in the Pacific to photograph some of the atom bomb tests.
I edited this shot with a Nosferatu Dawn effect

Seen this place on TV a couple of times. Drove there on a lasy Saturday afternoon. Pity the weather was terrible just managed to get out of the car for 10min. If you have a chance, visit, let your imagination take you back in time.
Amazing Portugal!
Point the camera on the subject take a number of shots, only to look on the back of the camera and not what you were hoping for. I adjusted the settings after, however, I kind of like this image. The details are good, and the soft setting, overall I think its worth showing :)
Taken recently on a family day out. Thanks to all who view/comment on my images, much appreciated :)

The lomo glass is capable of taking some incredible shots. It is a learning process with the camera as it does tend to over expose at times.
This is a very over exposed shot but I like it and perhaps might experiment more in overexposure. It's not that clear but the guy has massive video equipment and is videoing the lady in front.
I couldn't sleep at all last night so I decided to come into work very early, must have been on the Strand for about 6:45. London was just begining to wake up, Trafalgar square was empty.
Every side street I walked down I found to be full of people sleeping rough, some with sleeping bags, others with just boxes. The sights reminded me of the post war shots that Bill Brandt and Don McCullin would shoot. Gritty, contrasty and over-exposed.

Taken using my Nikon N8008s film SLR with 99cent Only Store 200 ISO color film. Developed at Costco and scanned using the Epson V600.
My stream has been full of pretty things lately. Pretty clouds, flowers, girls, etc....this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but I wanted to post something a little darker. I decided to go back into the archives and look at some abandoned places pics...but as you can see I got distracted on the way there. So anyways, here's another flower picture, but I suppose as far as flower pictures go, this is on darker side of things
