7 Days of Shooting ... Week #41... Chocolate ... Geometry Sunday

Oh gosh, I was thinking it was minimal Sunday ... I hope a collection of oval shapes with hexagon patterns counts as geometric.

Our Daily Challenge ... tastes good.

There is a popular saying "Research has found that 9 out of 10 people like chocolate ... and the other one is lying!"

A commonly held "belief" to justify eating lots of chocolate says that "Chocolate is made from cocoa, which comes from a tree. That makes it a plant. Therefore chocolate counts as a salad!"

This is my contribution for this weeks theme of complementary colours; a small miniature plum tomato (sometimes referred to as a grape tomato) starting its journey on the vine in my greenhouse and will eventually end up being consumed. HMM

... Just a night photo I like...

No, wait a moment: a night photo? Yes, although it is not apparent :-)

I was in Florence for a workshop a couple years ago and, of course, I took more than one chance for capturing the city at sunset, by night, and at sunrise. When I left my hotel before sunrise it was still quite dark; the showcase of a curiosity shop near the northern transept of the Cathedral of Saint Mary of the Flowers caught my attention. Just a minute to capture this brassy Atlas with his oval Earth on his shoulders. So: just a night photo I like to share with you.

Blackthorn or Sloe, Value to Wildlife, and Other Uses (Prunus spinosa; sliwa tarnina, ciernie, tarn, tarka, ciarki, cierniak, zarnosliwa, korcipka, wilzyla). Blackthorn is indigenous to Europe, Asia, and Africa. Prunus indicates the tree is a member of the plum family, and spinosa means thorny. The trees can grow to a height of around 6-7m and live for up to 100 years. The sloes are still used to make wine, preserves, and sloe gin. Traditionally, the blackthorn aided digestive complaints and eased rheumatism.

the ladybirds in the front yard or those in the backyard were obviously successful in mating! here are some ladybird eggs found on leaves on our apple tree.

Haymaking on the Shore of Lake Kaczlinskie (4 ha) in the Kaczlin Administrative Country District (drying the hay in the meadows throughout July, the work of cutting grass and curing it for hay). The goal of haymaking is to capture the nutrients in grass in a storable form. A week of good weather would be grand for haymaking. Both grazing and haymaking help to preserve grassland biodiversity and the microbial biodiversity of the milk. Species-rich hay can provide a wide range of nutrients and medicinal compounds for livestock.

I got this necklace from a friend of mine last year as a birthday present. When I opened the locket, I found a photo of my husband inside. Such a sweet gift.

The dark green leaves were oval shaped with a slight point and were slightly lobed. They were hanging in a basket from a lamppost at some one's house in Putnam County, Carmel, New York.

Vienna, Michaelerplatz

The Michaelerplatz is an oval-shaped plaza near the Hofburg in the center of Vienna, Austria. The square is named after St. Michael's Church, which is located east on the square. In 1725 the Baroque square was designed. However, this was only realised in the second half of the nineteenth century when the Michael Wing of the Hofburg was built.

This purse is made with two different cotton fabrics - a small flower print fabric on one side and a polka-dot fabric on the other. The interior is lined with the same two fabrics. It closes with a yellow zipper. It is fully interfaced for durability.

Oval appliques were applied on both sides in two different designs. Embroidery details were sewn using deep brown DMC embroidery floss.
