Sometimes in nature things are wild. The remote desert sometimes creates it's own patterns and then the sky paints over the more permanent rock formations that make up the landscape. In the end it's all impermanence. Although perhaps these rock formations are just brief stretch of time in a universal sense, I will probably be able to come back to this place through out my life and enjoy the same patterns.
I think Splash is getting tired of me not finishing the renovations I started on "her" room. I've tried to tell her that I need to keep finishing up outside projects before it gets too cold/snowy and that I will get back to her room before long, but I'm thinking she doesn't believe me.....
i am going to exhibit here, feeling stressed !!!

JCCAC is the acronym of the Jockey Club Creative Arts Centre in Hong Kong. It is housed in an award winning architectural conversion from the former Shek Kip Mei Factory Estate, which was a stronghold for cottage industries half a century ago. …
As an arts village, JCCAC is the operation base for nearly 140 artists and art organisations pursuing their work in a wide array of art forms, mainly in visual arts (including Chinese and Western painting, photography, ceramics, sculpture, printmaking, glass, multimedia installation, etc.) but also in performing arts (e.g. music, dance, drama, etc.) and applied arts (e.g. design, film, community art, etc.). Many artists are self-employed and have to juggle multiple demands on their time split between their studios at JCCAC and outside projects. The units at JCCAC mostly serve as arts studios and/or offices, where at the door visitors can often find programme and contact information about the resident artist or arts organisation. … (www.jccac.org.hk)

The light show outside projected through one window and gave a different scene than would otherwise be seen.
The same scene and phone camera recording in JPEG and DNG file formats.
This is not the best test of these file formats, it was a very good scene to be in and the camera did all of the hard work, I just needed to be there, which is sometimes, well most often, is the biggest variable in the blend for me.

Socially distanced queue waiting outside Project Coffee for their morning cuppa - at the moment we can only order from the doorway, not go inside during Covid restrictions, so this is a regular site (latest restrictions about to ease down a little this coming week here, thankfully, let's hope we don't need to go back to them again)

A Slice Of Historic Rented Comfort All Over
Sometimes a camera paints a picture and leaves an alternative record of the scene as focus shows strange shape and movement creates alternative emphasis and light leaves trails and generates attention bringing a sense of looking into another place deeper and wider gaining a feeling of the energy contained within the picture than the picture.
This picture to me shows the room and gives a sense of old luxury and all of the history and mystery of the place and the structure created into a wonderful comfort. Wherever you find your comfort I hope that you are able to enjoy it.

Despite the wet weather there were still a few people sitting outside Project Coffee as I walked home from work. With the mini-Lockdown in effect here the cafes have to close at 6pm for the moment, so they were grabbing the last twenty minutes of coffee time and taking advantage of the awning to sit outside despite the rain (because most of us would prefer being outside under current Covid conditions, understandably). Quick and dirty snap from the other side of the road, quite rough pic as getting dark, but maybe that suits the scene.

While most of my friends in the lower 48 are enduring sweltering heat - we are basking in ideal temperatures. I just read the AccuWeather report for our little corner of the boreal forest, and I was shocked to see that in a week and a half, our low overnight temperature is predicted to be in the twenties. It's a good thing that Doc. has all of his large outside projects done.
** ((Thank you so much for all of your comments, fave's, and views. I truly appreciate hearing from each and everyone.))

My 9/100 for my 100 favorite places to take photographs in Southern NJ, USA.
The Great Egg Harbor River.. Fishing area/Marina.

I have a VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION!! Please hear me out & answer me HONESTLY!!

I took a great photo. To me it's great. It means so much to me.
The photo I took is of a local man who has been walking up and down the streets in my area for the past few months.. with a piece of cardboard in his hands- holding it up on the busy streets to the cars. His messages vary. But they mostly are political. Some are rougher than others.
Well, I asked him if I could take his photo. I paid him a little bit as well, (not much, just enough for him to get a snack, coffee and warm up).
The message on his cardboard is what I'm bothered about.
I have already posted this photo on Facebook. I let everyone know that it is NOT my political views & the photo is not to be political AT ALL. I am photographing SOMEONE ELSE'S VIEWS.
The photo is important to me, because it shows how people are feeling right now.. During this huge divide in the United States at the moment. Whether it be political, racial, sexual, religious, there is a HUGE DIVIDE in the USA right now, and we are ALL feeling it.
The reason I am worried about posting it, is because I do not want ANY issues where Flickr bans me or shuts me down (again).
This is my 2nd account.. A few months ago I had a Flickr and I did NOTHING WRONG.. I'm not sure why it happened, but Flickr said I violated the terms or something.. and erased me. All of my photos were gone. (which is the important thing I'm concerned about). I do not want that to happen again. I'd die.. not literally.. but I'm sure you all understand!
I am proud of the image.. because of what I captured.. *the countries divide*
I do not know the man.. Or know his name. It was a quick meeting.. On the side of a busy highway. I asked him if I could take his photo.. He held up his sign. I snapped a photo. Juan handed him money and told him to go get some coffee and warm up. He thanked us.. and he went right back to his peaceful picketing.
I find this image important though, because of what it represents right now..
And also because I admire his dedication. He has been out there daily for months!! All day... Every day. Walking back and forth.. Displaying his cardboard signs.
He obviously feels very strongly about his beliefs.
When I posted the photo on Facebook I made sure everyone knew.. This is not to be a political post - this does not represent my beliefs- this is simply a photo of a stranger SAFELY picketing.
The key word is SAFELY. He's not breaking into buildings, looting, burning them down, shooting off fireworks at police, or storming the capitol. He is simply walking with a sign.
OKAY, SO I GUESS THE QUESTION IS...
AM I ALLOWED TO POST THIS?? Will I get banned?
Maybe I should bleep out the message??
Perhaps that's what I'll do.
Like I said, I posted this to Facebook... because honestly I could care less if Facebook bans me. But Flickr... I cannot lose my flickr. My photos. All of my hard work.. and my friends.
Please let me know what you think..
I'm thinking I should just bleep the message.. but then the message of the image will be lost..
I'm so torn.
Thanks in advance for helping me decide what to do here..
I know so many people get offended by everything now-a-days.. and complain and report stuff. I don't want to offend anyone. I don't even speak politics on here.. That's not what my flickr is for. And it does make me a little uncomfortable sometimes when I see OTHER people doing it.. Because most of the posts are opposite of my beliefs.. HOWEVER, I literally KEEP SCROLLING - and pretend that I didn't see it. And go on to view their other photos of sunsets / flowers/ etc.
Because I truly do cherish my friendships with you all on Flickr and don't want to mess them up over a disagreement. Which is why I just pretend I didn't see it.
Anyway, I don't know if I should post it... or If I should, and blur the message... I'm so confused.
I don't want to get banned.
Thanks.
btw; i just realized how much I wrote.. I'm sorry. I probably repeated myself or said the same thing 3 times differently..because when I'm really excited or anxious about something and trying to get a solid point across.. I tend to do that. Sorry.
Early in his career, Abelardo Morell began experimenting in the camera obscura, a setup that allowed him to photograph the view outside, projected through a small hole and inverted on the opposite wall of an interior.
Morell has adapted this technology, using a tent fitted with a periscope and angled mirror, with a digital camera pointed downward to capture the sweeping landscapes reflected on the ground.
This process of combining the distant view with the grass, pebbles, pine needles, sand, allows Morell to turn the terrain into his "canvas" and transform familiar scenes into otherworldly, impressionistic images.
Some of Morell's works are on display at de Young Museum, California as part of Ansel Adams In Our Time exhibition.

Definitely an outside project & a fun one.
I only had 3 balloons - 2 were out of focus with bursting so lucky to get this one..
