Thank you all for visits, favs and comments, it's greatly appreciated!
I recently traveled throughout four central European countries. Everywhere there were signs like this demonstrating the outrage against the illegal Putin-led Russian invasion against Ukraine. This one is from Prague in the Czech Republic.

Ducking under the signal bridge at N.E. Grand Blanc, Z489 charges south towards Wixom with 90 grain loads from the Andersons elevator in Standish. Similar posts have sparked outrage from people claiming that these are "blinding" to the crews. While for me, the jury is still out, I will continue "blinding" crews when the opportunity presents itself.
we've got corporate gangsters stealing us blind... I hardly recognize this country anymore. The President of the United States is given a free pass to ignore the Constitution... That's not the promise of America my parents and yours traveled across the ocean for... You can't call yourself a patriot if you're not outraged :-)

The eight-minute footage showing a white Minneapolis police officer slowly killing a black man has spread all around the world and caused an unprecedented outrage in lots of countries, not only in the US.
Last Thursday there was a demonstration against racism in Vienna, organized in connection with this horrible crime. The organizers had expected some 3,000 demonstrators, but eventually 50,000 demonstrators came (the number is an estimation given by the police).
Afterwards there was criticism, because covid-19 distance rules couldn't be followed in such a crowd. I didn't go there for fear of infection, and I suppose many others didn't take part in this demonstration for the same reason. Just imagine the crowd in the time without a pandemic!
I hope very much that all these demonstrations in the US and all over the world (the Vienna demonstration wasn't the only one outside the US) will be effective and lead to substantial changes and improvements in the US. The incumbent POTUS however isn't exactly much help in this situation...

Be kind to yourself in the year ahead.
Remember to forgive yourself, and to forgive others. It's too easy to be outraged these days, so much harder to change things, to reach out, to understand.
Try to make your time matter: minutes and hours and days and weeks can blow away like dead leaves, with nothing to show but time you spent not quite ever doing things, or time you spent waiting to begin.
Meet new people and talk to them. Make new things and show them to people who might enjoy them.

There is no trust more sacred than the one the world holds with children. There is no duty more important than ensuring that their rights are respected, that their welfare is protected, that their lives are free from fear and want and that they grow up in peace. - Kofi Annan
What does it take for our politicians to show their humanity and caring for our children? How can it be, that in the USA where we claim to be a civilized country who love and care for our children that we can give them guns to kill one another with, and also have no gun checks and laws for every citizen who uses guns? Where is our OUTRAGE, these killings have to STOP!!! No other country has as many deaths as ours, surely, we, like other countries, cannot be so gun crazy that we are not willing to protect our children from guns. It is complete insanity to be having these CONSTANT deaths. I implore CONGRESS and the SENATE to make this a TOP priority and settle down and resolve this problem once and for all. Give our most precious gift, our children a chance to live a full life, that is the least that they, and we deserve and expect.
STOP THE TEARS & STOP THE VIOLENCE, TEACH PEACE, LOVE & TOLERANCE!
Thank you for your kind visit. Have a wonderful and beautiful day! xo💜💜
A lot of noise from the flocks of Canada geese on the lake in our backyard today, two separate groups loudly challenging each other!
One of our tours during a recent visit to Liverpool was to the cathedral there. Inside, I was transfixed by this sculpture. It is certainly not what we usually see in other works of art depicting the crucifiction. "The Outraged Christ" is a sculpture by Charles Lutyens, a 15-foot-high depiction of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ, currently on display at Liverpool Cathedral. The sculpture is made of wood, iron, and steel and was begun 40 years prior to its completion in 2011. Lutyens chose to portray Christ in a state of outrage and agony, reflecting the suffering and injustice of the crucifixion. The sculpture is a prominent piece of art within the cathedral, and it has been the subject of numerous discussions and reflections on the meaning of Christ's sacrifice and the human experience of suffering.”
Some how this country of fine wine and style has to come to terms with yet another senseless terrorist outrage on their soil. Bastille Day can never be the same for them again. God give those beleaguered souls strength to get through this savage trial and the harrowing days to come.

“Outraged Christ” is a 15 feet-high depiction of the Crucifixion made in wood, iron and steel. It was shaped primarily with a large chisel and chainsaw.
The work, by artist Charles Lutyens, was started 40 years ago with the creation of the head. It was then abandoned until 2005. Completed in 2011, it was first displayed in St Paul’s Church, Bow Common. It is currently (2019) on loan to Liverpool Cathedral.

Whitby Town Council has voiced "total outrage" following the sudden appearance of a large sightseeing wheel on the town's West Cliff, stating that neither the council nor local businesses were consulted prior to its arrival. Councillors have described the situation as "absolutely disgraceful" and have called for a strong letter of protest to North Yorkshire Council.
The temporary viewing wheel, which offers panoramic views of Whitby's coastline, harbour, and landmarks, is located on the green space behind the Whalebone Arch on West Cliff. It is scheduled to operate from Wednesday 9 July until Monday 4 August. source, This is the Coast www.thisisthecoast.co.uk/news/local-news/whitby-town-coun...

Outrage at deal to export 20 million tonnes of Victoria’s brown coal. Urgent call for Gillard to take control on climate policy.
Friday, 25 June 2010
Environment groups have expressed anger at a deal by coal company ‘Environmental Clean Technologies’ (ECT) to export up to 20 million tonnes of brown coal a year from Victoria.
Federal Resources Minister Simon Crean is expected to throw the federal government’s support behind the deal in Melbourne this afternoon.
Environment groups are dismayed at the federal government’s support for this polluting deal and have called an emergency protest outside the signing.
“This is a disastrous first action for the new Gillard Government. We’re calling on Prime Minister Gillard to take control on climate policy and withdraw the federal government’s support for a brown coal export industry” said Environment Victoria CEO Kelly O’Shanassy.
“Prime Minister Gillard has a difficult task ahead of her on climate change and it’s a worrying sign if one of the Gillard Government’s first announcements is to support a brown coal export industry” she said.
“If the project goes ahead, millions of tonnes of greenhouse pollution will be pumped into the atmosphere each year, and the Latrobe Valley’s necessary shift to a clean energy future will be delayed” said Ms O’Shanassy.
“This is precisely the wrong message for Australia to be sending ahead of this weekend’s G20 meeting where fossil fuel subsidies are on the agenda. We should be reducing our reliance on coal, not increasing it” said ACF Climate Change Program Manager Tony Mohr.
Friends of the Earth Campaign Coordinator Cam Walker said the company was misleading the Australian public by claiming they could make brown coal ‘clean’.
“Companies have been saying they can make brown coal clean since the early 1970’s yet there is no proven way to make brown coal environmentally friendly as claimed by ECT. This is pure greenwash” he said.
“Victoria’s brown coal is highly polluting and very inefficient. It is really disappointing and damaging to international climate efforts that the federal government is actively spruiking this dirty fuel on the world stage and attempting to lock developing countries into a polluting pathway” he concluded.
Sadness and outrage. That's what many of us have been feeling for a long time in America. We watched in horror the video of George Floyd, pleading for his life, as he lay dying with a racist cop's knee on his neck, who refused to hear his pleas, "I can't breathe." 8 minutes 46 seconds later, he was dead. After 400 years of racism, millions of Black and Brown people enslaved, and thousands terrorized, oppressed and killed, America is finally hearing the cries of Floyd and Black Lives Matter protestors for racial equality and justice. Floyd's death sparked BLM protests all over America and the world. Floyd was speaking for all of us when he cried, "I can't breathe." We no longer want America to be a country where Black and other people are dehumanized, destroyed or killed for the color of their skin or for profit. We will keep fighting for real social change, equality and justice, and for a better world where the humanity of all people is protected and revered. Black Lives Matter! Power to the People!
(2) Outraged, Tzarevich Pavel demanded Golitsyna’s expulsion, although to both please her son and keep her confidante, the Empress let Knyaginya know that she has been “unwelcomed” from the court for 2 weeks.
Her letter of apology also reveals that she is expecting, which would seemingly be impossible since her husband is away. The remaining courtiers were left to wonder what has happened...

___________________________________________
This not against Flickr, but AGAINST CENSORSHIP:
"The decision to change the Flickr experience in Germany was never about censorship - it was made to try to ensure that Yahoo! Germany was in compliance with local legal restrictions." (read here)
"Chinese Government is currently censoring Flickr" (read here)
Flickr is through the most difficult time of its history, and there are some hard conflicts between Yahoo Corp and China and German governments. The restrictions taken by the site aren't the best ones, but it seems they need to take them.
So I do hope Yahoo investors will vote a new policy against censorship, and we all will stand AGAINST CENSORSHIP, in Germany, in China and all around the world!
