A bustling scene at the Wiener Rathausplatz, showcasing a vibrant festival atmosphere with numerous people enjoying food and drinks under large, white tents. The iconic Rathaus (City Hall) is visible in the background, its intricate architecture adding a historical backdrop to the lively event. The scene is filled with colorful seating arrangements, food stalls, and a general sense of merriment.

Awareness is Free was a two day outdoor festival at PSU put on by KPSU featuring an eclectic mix of fringe music artists. The shows were produced by Rhen of KPSU's adventurous music program Cacophony currently on Saturdays at 4 PM Pacific Time.
The sun burned down on the pavement of the small festival stage as Naïa closed her eyes, feeling the pulse of the music. Her arms moved in sync with the congas, the maracas in her hands creating a hypnotic sound that captivated the crowd.
Behind her, her bandmate drummed with tireless energy, while Naïa surrendered completely to the moment. The people in front of the stage danced barefoot, laughed, and let the music carry them away. This was her moment—an instant of perfect harmony.
As the last note faded, Naïa opened her eyes. Silence. Then, an explosion of cheers. She smiled. The rhythm of the street had once again touched people's hearts.

GlastonBeoley Music Festival, at the Redditch Cricket Hockey & Rugby Club, in Redditch, Worcestershire, England, United Kingdom, on Friday 27th of June 2025.
About the photograph.
This is the heavy rock band calling themselves Kalashnikov Skunk.
In the first photo (file: 2025009-0043). There’s Adam on the drums in the background, then you have the lead singer named Andy, and Emma the bass guitar player. The second photo (file: 2025009-0290) shows the guitarist Nige (as spelt on their official website).
The Kalashnikov Skunk is a Kidderminster based covers band, delivering heavy rock songs, and what they describe on their website as ”skunked up pop songs with a heavier twist.”
In the photographs, they were seen playing at GlastonBeoley Music Festival, which is basically a local annual community music festival, raising money for charity, and they have held the event every year since the first one in 2018.
The GlastonBeoley Music Festival are one of the few UK festivals that provides British Sign Language (BSL) interpreters for some of the key performances.
The photos were shot in colour with a 50mm lens while close up to the stage. While they were in Adobe Lightroom, they were converted into black and white, then cropped in Adobe Photoshop.

The Mavericks performed at the 13th Roots N Blues N BBQ festival in Columbia, MO on Sept. 28, 2019. Originally photographed for Arch City Media.
An interesting effect with a few rain sprinkles on my lens on a few shots from their set.
I went a bit crazy with the photography on the second day of the Hideout Block Party. Where on the first day I only came out with about a dozen photos, on the second day, I have about 40 photos that I think are usable.
I will eventually post a lot of these between the two accounts. But for now going into the week, I just want to get my favorite photos of the four remaining bands that I photographed at the festival up.
This is my favorite photo that I took of Art Brut. It's bassist Freddy Feedback and drummer Mikey Breyer toward the end of the set.
The Art Brut set was the highlight of my weekend as it was just cathartic and they are just one of the best live bands going right now, period.
I think this is just my favorite because it's the best picture I got of Freddy who is just the cutest thing ever where female bassists go. Well besides Laura Ballard of Superchunk.
Of course Eddie Argos is the main attraction so there will be photos of him to follow.
I thought the mud wrestling at Bass Coast Fest was going to be some cheesy thing where half naked girls pretended to fight, but were there just to get attention.
Not so.
The women who fought in this very serious competition were out for the kill. I believe every person, man and woman, were scared shitless by the intensity of these fighters.

Over the weekend of 10/16/2021 I photographed Taste of the Philippines, a celebration of Philippine and Filipino American arts, culture and history, held at the County Waterfront Park in downtown San Diego. Fun fact: San Diego is home to the second largest concentration of the Filipino diaspora outside of the Philippines.
