Scharnhauser Park ist ein neuer Stadtteil von Ostfildern, der zum größten Teil auf Nellinger Gemarkung liegt. Der Ort liegt zentral in Ostfildern zwischen den Stadtteilen Ruit, Parksiedlung, Nellingen, Kemnat und Scharnhausen.

Am Samstag sind fast 30 000 Menschen in den Scharnhauser Park gepilgert, um den deutschen Beitrag zu den „Flammenden Sternen“ mitzuerleben. Joachim Berner hat dabei auf klassische Musik gesetzt.

Sorry on Monday I said that I upload on tuesday, but yesterday was a really hard day with so much work ;-)

This is a Picture from the Firework competition "Flammende Sterne". On Friday the 21st of August Italy start with the Firework but I wasn't there on Friday. On Saturday the Philippines show their Firework. This Picture is from Saturday, the weather was really nice and the Firework was just awesome. The Philippines Firework was my favorite, On Sunday Brazil continiued the show. On Sunday it wasn't so wonderful it was raining a lot while the firework and the wind came from the front and pushed the smoke cloud from the Firework infront of us. The pictures that I was making on Saturday while the Firework were miserabel so I don't upload them. I was shooting some wonderful pictures while the lasershow :-)

Tried again to get deep inside the woods. Failed again.

The vegetation is just to thick to get trough.

I know of a third entrance but i have to use my car to get there and I'm not sure if things are any better there.

For now I will give it a rest. Two days in the forest and my legs are covered with scratches and mosquito bites.

Maybe in fall my chances are better.

The framing program at the festival "Flammende Sterne" 2007 in Ostfildern was also nice, e.g. the glowing hot air balloons. This glowing presentation shortened the waiting time till the spectacular fireworks.

Sparkling silver stars were falling from the sky during this part of the German firework at "Flammende Sterne" 2007 in Ostfildern. Large parts of the sky were filled by this explosions, unfortunately a photo can't express this, it was amazing!

I don't know the right English term but this "Mehrschlagbomben" as they are called in German (maybe "several blast bombs") are always very impresssive. Here you can see a red one which was launched during the German firework at "Flammende Sterne" festival Ostfildern 2008.

Altogether we were very lucky with the weather (wind) however here a lot of smoke from the previous part is in the air. Nevertheless it is interesting for me to see the site were the firework is launched (small flames on the bottom) and how it beautifully unfolds above the smoke...
