"Symphony n.4 for oscillators and internal combustion engine vibrations"
Close-up view of bottom of oscillator board with the last two SSM2033 chips and their Tempco resistor...
Likely a 70's vintage station monitor scope turned analog clock made by Heathkit. I've built a few in my day, a 1 kilowatt SB-1000 amplifier, code practice oscillator & an indoor/outdoor thermometer.
Voltage-controlled oscillator, from Electronics Today International, March 1978, p.52, an article on op-amps by Tim Orr.
I bought this on Ebay a couple of years back.
It is an extensively modified Stylophone, it has a second oscillator, variable vibrato speed, envelope and mixer section.
It only partly worked when when i got it but has now completely stopped working. I plan to repair it to it's former glory.
I have no idea who modified it or when, but the circuitry looks very old.
One question springs to mind, it is marked wke stylosynth B, who has the stylosynth A?
Upper left hand area of patch bay. This shows the patch points for audio oscillators 7 and 8, along with the patch points for the percussion generator
Our workshop group build a sci-fi electronic drone instrument whose pitch and tone oscillation can be controlled by light, dials and even touch. Final outcome is a six oscillator synth from scratch under the instruction of artist, Sam Underwood.

The Nothing Machine by Mr.Ugly. 2009.
Oscillator+NOR+NAND+Delay+Circuit Bending=Spacecomputerrandomness. The sound of nothing.
This is the waveform of the 10MHz oscillator into a 47ohm resistor. This is what the specifications claim is a sine wave. ha!

Test circuit using a CD4046b oscillator and a hcf4017 counter/divider chip. Basically, it cycles through all the LEDs and you can adjust the speed/acceleration with a single connection.
Circular Oscillator
This unit is one of the latest rarities of Zebranalogic. It's designed to be played horisontally. It comes with 2 Vco's, in different tones of frequency, low to high. It has 4 Lfo's implemented in different tempo, and a envelope filter which makes it possible to generate exquisite tones. It comes with a five channel mixer, in which two channels are used by the envelope filter and the three others are free for additional mixing.
This unit has a Stereo Output and comes with a 110ac - 220ac Adaptor, 9 V dc. It has 1/8 inputs to be sent through any controller of 0 - 5 V or a Midi Cv. This unit can also be configured as you can see on the video, via patches. You can play it aleatorically or in an ordered form, without risk of it being damaged.
-This unit comes with Midi (in/thru).
-Lfo 4 output through each lfo triangular and square output 1/8.
-Envelope filter inputs for controls 1/8.
- vco output 1/8 square wave shape.
-output 1/8 sawtooth wave shape.
-input 1/8 to control the lfo or any cv transmitor up to 5 V inputs 1/8 for retroalimentation of the vco.
-3 independent inputs 1/8 for alternate combinations.
-This unit comes with 5 plug/plug 1/8.
-master volume and Stereo Output.

The KST, "Know Sure Thing", is an oscillator that combines multiple time frames into a single measure of momentum for a financial instrument. It can be interpreted in the same way as other smoothed oscillators but most commonly indicates bullish and bearish momentum signals as it crosses above and below its moving average respectively.

Physics teacher Lawrence discusses the potential energy curve of a classical harmonic oscillator... until the admins surprise him with silly string for forgetting to submit his attendance on time.

Installation, Light Installation, Interactive Art
Bruno Billio & Mahan Javadi have devised an exciting and interactive way to “touch” and play with light through vocal participation. With the combination of a green industrial laser, string and interactive computer programming and electronics, participants can have the energy and excitement of their voices animated and enlarged visually to an urban scale in a mesmerizing laser display.
The "Urban Voice Oscillator" will be activated through vocal interaction via a microphone that will manipulate and oscillate a vertical mohair string illuminated using the green laser. The resulting oscillation of the string will cause pulsation of the laser beam. The participant becomes the performer as a result of the personal voice becoming public through the large scale visual display.
Stanford University classmates Bill Hewlett and Dave Packard founded HP in 1939. The company's first product, built in a Palo Alto garage, was an audio oscillator - an electronic test instrument used by sound engineers. One of HP's first customers was Walt Disney Studios, which purchased eight oscillators to develop and test an innovative sound system for the movie Fantasia.
