Poor little Oscar wanted to join me and Charlie on the fields this morning and wasn't too pleased when we sent him back home...

Oscar is a 9 week old Blue Heeler mix puppy waiting for a home to call his own. Tomorrow's adoption event should be his hookup.

On the 4th of May 2020 we had to say goodbye to our beautiful boy. He was almost 16 years old but it was kinder to let him pass away than let him suffer. We miss him sorely but know we did the right thing for him.

This is my friends beautiful rescue pug called Oscar. He is 13 years young and sometimes gets tired so his mum has bought him his own little green stroller.

I'm on a bit of a furbaby photo spree lol. working with animals and adopting as I go makes my job all the more worthwhile.

Mais um presente de Deus na minha vida!!

this gentleman resides at a local pet supply store.

He had a congenital deformity at birth - no eyelids ...

but he was helped by some kind people

and now has eyelids and distinctive "eyebrows" :)

Quantum technology or stage at a music festival? Both would have one thing in common: students.

Oscar-Qube, short for Optical Sensors based on CARbon materials: QUantum Belgium, is an experiment developed by a group of students from the University of Hasselt, Belgium. Part of ESA Education Office’s Orbit Your Thesis! programme, the experiment arrived at the International Space Station on Space X Dragon CR23 resupply mission yesterday.

This week, ESA astronaut Thomas Pesquet will install the experiment in the Ice Cubes Facility that offers commercial and educational access to the microgravity environment of the Space Station.

Oscar-Qube’s mission is to create a detailed map of Earth’s magnetic field. It makes use of a new type of magnetometer that exploits quantum sensing, meaning that it is highly sensitive, offers measurements to the nano scale, and has a better than 100-nanosecond response time.

These features combine to create a powerful experiment that, once in position, will allow it to map the Earth’s magnetic field to an unrivalled level of precision.

Oscar-Qube is designed and built exclusively by the first student team to test a quantum technology sensing device in space. They will go on to manage operations during its ten-month stay onboard the International Space Station.

Orbit Your Thesis! is a hands-on ESA educational programme that helps university students realise the dream of putting an experiment of their own design into space. The Oscar-Qube students have been assisted at every stage of their journey by ESA experts, helping not only to develop the experiment, but also investing in the students themselves, equipping them with the skills and mindsets needed for future careers in the space sector.

This is Oscar he is Mum's dog, but we walk him, today I had to take him to the vet's for a routine blood test and medication for a gland condition, he is doing well for his age, he was 14 last June.

It was really hot today, Oscar wasn't enjoying the hot weather

Thank you for all your kind comments about Charlie,

Take care, stay safe and have a wonderful day / evening :))

Once again a helpful model. Just as i was reading up about using diffusers on on-camera speedlights, Oscar jumped up on my desk and posed for a few snaps. Next time I must crouch down a little lower; Oscar was very close and I forgot that the flash sits quite high on top of the camera, meaning that half his eyes are in the shadow of his eyebrows. There's always something new to learn/remember with this photography schtick...

get off of my records!!!

Today's photo tour takes us to Disney's Hollywood Studios for a shot of Oscars. I've always wanted to take a pic of this building but every time, when I was leaving the studios, there has always been a large crowd of people in the area. On this past trip, I was finally able to get my opportunity but it didn't come without a little bit of waiting for the perfect moment. Are you patient enough to wait for your "perfect moment"? Have a magical day!
