admirons la pureté des colonnes et des ogives qui contrastent avec les rosaces et les tours plus baroques de l'extérieur - l'effet Orton est peut être un peu prononcé....

What to do if an image you really like is a bit soft?
Why, overcook the Orton effect like crazy and call it "Creative" off course.
questa era una versione di un altra foto già pubblicata nel mio stream... ma come al solito non ne ero soddisfatto.. :)
Here is a shot I don't do often and it does not really strike my fancy: Down hill water. I don't know why, but I'd rather see waterfalls going up stream. I liked this one for the foggy sky. Instead of having the foreground devolve into a misty background, I darkened up the foreground, have it dissolve so to speak into the background, but still have that misty quality.
6G65 Hope to Walsall. Class 66 in Freightliner green/yellow Livery powers south through Water Orton with a rake of loaded cement tanks.
This is an Orton of a water liy.. first image is sharp and over exposed by one stop.. the second is out of focus...then they are merged using layers .

another shot of the Chamomile flowers cascading down the little hill--I added a touch of an Orton Effect for a little drama.
6M26 Eastleigh to Mountsorell Departmental. Class 66 (Valour) in GBRF livery heads towards Water Orton with a rake of yellow waggons. Picture taken from foot crossing.
6G65 Hope (Earles Sidings) Fhh to Walsall Freight Terminal. Class 70 locomotive, has been repainted into Freightliner's new "60th Anniversary" livery, also referred to as the "G&W orange livery." This livery celebrates Freightliner's 60th anniversary, which is in 2025. The locomotive was first seen in this new livery in May 2025 and is seen here on the approach to Water Orton with a rake of loaded Cement Tanks.
