On the east side of the Piazza De Ferrari in Genoa is the Exchange (Borsa), an imposing Neo-Baroque building (19th century). From here the city's principal street, Via XX Settembre, runs southeast, lined by fine modern buildings and arcades containing numerous shops.
I spent a wonderful afternoon, yesterday, at Coney Island. This historic amusement park is desperately trying to hang on to it's charm. This very interesting building is on the boardwalk.
This is actually a church. As I said, architecture in Russia is very ornate. In fact, most of the churches look like this. It's kind of funny, actually, I was talking to a Russian and he said he liked the architecture in NYC because it was so modern, but I love this simply because it's so exquisite.

Walking through Liverpool in Merseyside, England, we followed a street that dipped gently toward the River Mersey, the Municipal Buildings clock tower rising ahead and slightly to the side, its ornate 19th‑century stonework and spire standing proud above the rooftops. Around us, a mix of red‑brick terraces and pale‑stone facades framed the view, while cars and pedestrians moved through the scene under a soft, overcast sky. It was a perfect glimpse of the city’s civic grandeur woven into the everyday rhythm of life, with the river just beyond.
