Des piste de buck qui a monter une jumant . J'avais caller comme un malade tous la journee avant (autant femelle que male).
The orignal plan on Saturday the 12th was to see the sunrise over Corfe Castle, go for a hill walk then down onto the Swanage Railway who were doing their diesel gala and beer festival. For the gala, various vintage diesels from across the UK were visiting and many extra trains running every 10 mins or so.
This would also allow me to use a many of these services to the various stations along the route for local walks and get some action of the gala. However, due to the northern lights the night before, I moved my Saturday plan to Sunday.
When it came to Sunday, I was unaware that a derailment the night before meant most the trains were cancelled and a limited service running instead for the gala/beer festival. Also due to time restraints, I decided not to do the sunrise and early morning hill walk.
It soon became apparent that my original plan was not going to work either with the reduced services etc and by time the first trains had ran, it was over an hour after the original times I had. So I scrapped most my walks and concnetrated on a 5-mile radius around Corfe Castle, Here though are some of the shots I got of the railways diesel gala.
As always nice to speak to the railway folk and various people on my walks.
Just a shame about some of the stereotypical train spotter types at this event that would stand in the way of your photos or trespass who feel its their right to do so which left a sour feel about the event.
