Amtrak P42DC No. 92 leads a 15-car American Orient Express through Riverton, Utah on August 2, 1997. I was surprised that day to see a luxury cruise train powered by a single locomotive.
Le lac d'orient situé sur les communes de Mesnil Saint Père, Lusigny sur Barse et Géraudot dans le département de l'Aube s'appelle aussi réservoir Seine.
C'est un lac artificiel qui permet d'absorber les crues de la Seine et prévenir les innondation sur les villes et aval... Paris entre autre. Il se remplis au printemps et est vidé progressivement a partir du mois d'août.
Il est actuellement vidé à 80% et les oiseaux se rassemblent autour des marres restantes pour se ravitailler en poissons.
Op Dinsdag 22-6 zou voor het eerst sinds jaren de Venice Simplon Oriënt express naar Nederland komen.
Doordat de trein vanwege stormschade in Zwitersland enige vertraging opliep, Was het niet te doen.
Woensdag zou er een persmoment in Haarlem zijn. Aangezien ik vrij was gokte ik daarop. Helaas moest er gewerkt worden waardoor ik om 13:56 alweer weg moest uit Spaarnwoude. Gelukkig vertrok de trein precies optijd en passeert hier een redelijke groep fotografen als 70459 naar Watergraafsmeer.

Aufgrund der Sperre am Arlberg war bekannt, dass der VSOE durch die Schweiz verkehrte. Per Zufall und trotz des schlechten Wetters entschied ich mich an diesem Abend, noch kurz nach Mühlau zu fahren, um ein paar Züge zu fotografieren. Blick Richtung Süden: Starke Gewitter im Kessel ab Arth, Blick Richtung Norden: Regenfront, jederzeit könnte hier der Regen ebenfalls einsetzen. Und dann stand er plötzlich da: Auf dem Serviertablett, vor meiner Linse: Der VSOE! Genau solche Überraschungen und einzigartige Momente machen das Hobby "Trainspotting" so sonderbar. Cheers!
