You may be used to hearing about the female orgasm from women’s magazines rather than scientists, but researchers are slowly beginning to study it – and often contradicting the advice columns. Part of the problem, they say, is that the female body has been studied far less than the...
I wanted to experiment in my concept this time. Instead of heartfelt quotes about life, I wanted to try a bit on the oddball. It's always nice to do a bit of sidetracking to what your original plans are and here is a perfect one.
I wanted to portray something about sexuality but not in a manner of taking photos of nude or a sensual photograph of a couple. I wanted it to be more abstract. So how would I do this? As I was already doing self portraits for my other photographs, I wanted to incorporate the white cloth that I was playing with to cover what gender the person would be and photograph it in a sexual position done by couples. The one that is in-front is portraying a person that is on the verge of orgasmic pleasure. The idea for me is that sex should not be closed to just a male and a female. It should be to whomever that person desires to be with.
As a person, I don't have the right to judge who you are or what you prefer. As long as you care for that person and not hurt anybody. You are good in my books.
Typha plants are conspicuous and hence have many common names. They may be known in British English as bulrush, or reedmace, in American English as cattail, catninetail, punks, or corn dog grass, in Australia as cumbungi or bulrush, and in New Zealand as raupo.
Typha leaves are alternate and mostly basal to a simple, jointless stem that eventually bears the flowering spikes. Typha plants are monoecious and bear unisexual, wind-pollinated flowers, developing in dense spikes. The numerous male flowers form a narrow spike at the top of the vertical stem. Each male (staminate) flower is reduced to a pair of stamens and hairs, and withers once the pollen is shed. The very large numbers of tiny female flowers form a dense, sausage-shaped spike on the stem below the male spike — in larger species this can be up to 30 centimetres (12 in) long. When ripe the heads disintegrate into dense cottony fluff, from which the seeds disperse by wind.
