This is the superstructure above King's Cross station in London. The darker part of the image was actually lit in purple light, but I decided that this capture would be best as a monochrome image, particularly because of the contrast between the lighter and darker elements. I really like these type of structures that have an organic feel to them.

I had a lot of fun with this soft coral fish. I was toward the back end of my only dive for that day, and noted a very small movemetn in the fronds of this flower pot coral. Through patience and persistence I was able to use my 105mm with my 2.0 teleconverter to get some nice close shots. This fish was in Brownian motion (ceaseless random motion) across the soft coral. I don't think you could use a super macro converter or a magnifier to get these shots since the subject is very dynamic...

Slightly more rare in my experience these are quite small fish. I pursued this fish for 5 minutes then gave him a break. Lovely colors. I think of this as the Zispepo fish now!

This is a Grouper that I see less frequently. It's quite large compared to a black tip, but about the same size as a Minatus Grouper. It was fairly patient with me and let me dial in this nice exposure.

Haddon’s Sea Anemone
This school of anemone fish was living on a Haddon’s Sea Anemone. Usually this arrangement with Haddon’s makes the fish lighter in color. A conical shell was right next to their anemone. The anemone fish attached all their eggs to it. If you zoom in on this photo (flic.kr/p/29F64B9) you can see algae growing on the eggs. The parents (breeding pair) were cleaning the eggs constantly with their mouths.

Beaded Sea Anemones (Heteractis aurora) are a fairly common species in Okinwa. The two banded anemone fish (Amphiprion bicinctus) are also common. They are enticing to take photos of, but can yeild mixed results. This photo is somewhat satisfying with nice detail on both the fish and the anemone.

Seen around 60 feet as we transited the fisherman/shark hangout area of the reef. At first i thought this was a Greasy Reefcod, but its size was immense! When i looked at the photos it is clearly not the same grouper. It spent all its time in the rocks and retreating back deeper. I liked this shot best sincethe shadowing of the mouth and luminance on the eye make it looks menacing, but it was a very cautious fish in reality. The lines of the body folded on itself also lend a dynamic effect to the picture.
