📍 Porth Nanven 🌊☀️🌊
After the sun had set at Porth Nanven, there was still enough good light to keep shooting as it's rays reflected from the hazy atmosphere...
I composed this simple shot with Porth Nanven's granite boulders in the foreground, and the distinctive Brisons rocks on the horizon.
A slow shutter speed of just over half-a-second captured the movement of the sea.

In order to create some kind of balance on the plates tonight, I made a colorful, and odd, "salad" to go with the main.
RED-HEADED BARBET male Eubucco bourcierii. This male Red-headed Barbet has been drinking nectar from the orange cup-like Porotón flowers of the leguminous tree, Erythrina megistophylla Diels, family Fabaceae, along the Vía Cunuco about one and one half miles northwest of Mindo in northwestern Ecuador at 9:12 AM on April 28, 2020. A female Red-headed Barbet was also observed at this time drinking nectar from Porotón flowers in the same tree.
Endemic to Ecuador, Erythrina megistophylla has flowers adapted to pollination by passerine or perching birds (Order Passeriformes). We have observed a variety of passerine birds drinking nectar from these flowers as well as seven hummingbird species. The Red-headed Barbet, on the other hand, belongs to the order Piciformes. Porotón is one of the common names of this tree species.
The Red-headed Barbet is a member of the family Capitonidae and is found in Costa Rica, Panamá, western Venezuela, Colombia, Ecuador and northern Perú.

The painted stork (mycteria leucocephala) appears to be addressing the spot-billed pelicans (pelecanus philippensis). This scene brought to mind the Speaker, in the House of Commons, calling for better behaviour from MPs. Photographed in Kumana National Park, Sri Lanka. Another gray day in the city did lend to much adventuring, but that's okay. I managed to get a lot done around the house and Scott and I even managed to motivate ourselves to go get the groceries done.
Of course we took a side trip to the bookstore first and I was able to pick up a couple novels and a collection of short stories while Scott gathered a wish list for his Kindle.
All in all, not a bad start to the weekend.
Hope everyone has had a good day.

I was cleaning out my desk today when I came across probably 50 rolls of expired film.... Made me think back to the beginning of my little business, ordering 100+ rolls at a time, sending them in and crossing my fingers that the exposure was correct and having to wait a week before seeing the results of the photo session. Wow have times changed, in an instant we can see if the exposure is correct, we can enjoy the session right after the client leaves and so on..... I had the box of film in my hand ready to throw it out and I just could not do it, I guess I will hang on to it and see what I can create... It was pretty dark when I took this, I had to shoot at an 800 iso, but I didn't mind the grain (pixels).....

I paid another visit to Poplar station on London's DLR in order to use this striking backdrop of the tunnel/bridge above the rail lines.
Vytaute is from Lithuania but living and working in London now.
Vytaute appeared to be in a rush when I asked her to be part of my 100 strangers project. I promised it would only take a few minutes to which she agreed but said that she wasn't photogenic!
I asked Vytaute where she would like to be in 10 years time?
"My ambition is to have my own business, something in beauty or fashion."
Thank you Vytaute and good luck!
