Visiting Orava castle took 660 steps. Not too strenuous given that you could only tour the castle with a guide, who stopped every 10 steps or so to give us a lecture. Slovaks are addicted to details, but I found it very hard to take. I would have been much happier just to wander around at my own speed.

Shame it was dead though
Oravsky Podzamok, near the border with Poland. The name Podzamok means under the castle, which is exactly where the town is located.
