I photographed this wild parrot in Irvine Regional Park. It didn’t look to be an adult Yellow-headed parrots, so I did some digging and think this could be a hybrid bird. I checked with a parrot group and they thought hybrid or a color morph of a Red-lored Amazon. If you know the ID, please feel free to comment.(Looks similar to this photo: californiaparrots.us/hybrids/hybrids_page_18.html#hybridscaliforniaparrots.us/hybrids/hybrids_page_18.html#hybrids...)

Don't know how lone it will last, but it's pretty.

Orange County, CA. Last time I saw one was in Washington state several years ago. So I was happy to see one again without having to travel far.

At the time, I thought the egrets were ornery and only fighting with each other, but later looking at the photos, it was obvious that some of the egrets were adults feeding their young. There was a lot of fighting, too, however.

Built in 1854, abandoned in 1987, restored in 1996. Currently hidden in the back of a parking lot, behind a chain pharmacy.
