Over 50 Nebraska 4-H youth in 15 teams competed in the 2017 State Life Challenge Event on University of Nebraska-Lincoln’s East Campus on June 26-27. Fifteen Lancaster County 4-H’ers formed 4 teams and competed in three Family Consumer Science related challenges.
During the EntrepreneurShip Investigation Challenge, each team developed a consumer product inspired by a plastic widget and made another oral presentation.

Whilst the plenary speeches and oral presentations were given at the Auditorium, research abstracts could be viewed at the Gym "Fish Tank".
A CYA student giving an oral presentation on the Tower of the Winds. The octagonal building derived its name from the 8 wind deities painted on 8 sides of the building.On the interior, there is an elaborate water clock, which was driven by water coming down from the Acropolis.
