The University of Wisconsin-Parkside presented Student Showcase 2016 on April 20th. The day included musical performances by the Jazz Combo and the Voices of Parkside, a poster session, and then oral presentations given by the students.
Student Showcase featured research and creative activity across an array of academic disciplines. More than 100 undergraduate and graduate students, and 30 UW-Parkside faculty members, were involved with research posters, oral presentations, musical performances, and art displays. Congratulations to all!

An annual celebration of student research, scholarship and creative activity at CSU Channel Islands. The event will showcase poster sessions, oral presentations, displays, performances and a keynote address.
On Friday, December 19th, 2014 the cafeteria was transformed into an international classroom! The 6th grade scholars had been working hard on their Holidays Around the World projects, for three weeks, and were very proud to showcase their research. Some of the holidays researched were Chinese New Year, Kwanzaa, Hanukkah, Three Kings Day, and Holi. Each scholar’s family was invited to join us for our Holiday Festival, which included watching the oral presentations and tasting traditional holiday recipes. In addition to the numerous families, many of the upper grade teachers stopped by the cafeteria during the festival. Overall, it was a very enjoyable and successful project and culminating activity.

A primer is a brief guide to preparing and delivering an oral presentation. Case Western Reserve University started a program called SAGES (Seminar Approach to General Education and Scholarship) where students acquire knowledge and analytical skills to solve problems, as well as the power to articulate their ideas effectively in both speech and writing. This primer is a brief and entertaining guide to helping students speak persuasively, whether in the classroom, or in the real-world.
