The full moon is tomorrow, but we thought we'd try shooting the moon rise around Oracle the other night. My hope was to get some moon reflections in the buildings and still be able to see some detail in the moon. While I did get what I wanted there, eventually we got to see the moon rising over the buildings during the blue hour.
Maybe I'm a bit greedy here with the moon, it's reflection in the water and on the building. Do you think the reflection in the water is distracting?

Yes, I have to thank Duncan Smith for the wonderful word of gloaming. Somehow I never noticed the word before.

the secret chamber under the oracle...
The Necromandio near Ammoudia, north of Nicopolis, is where the living were said to be able to communicate with the dead. According to mythology, where the river emerges from the narrows near Glyki was where the souls of dead dwelled. The river was the channel over which Charon (Death) carried the souls of the dead into the realm of Hades, located in the depths of Lake Acheron.
The Necromandia was built on top of a cave on the northwestern shore of the lake. This oracle was visited by numerous pilgrims, who were placed on a diet of beans and lupins for a few days to prepare them for communication with their beloved deceased ones in the sacred crypt. Remains of a crane device thought to have been used to lower figures of the dead into the chamber have been found. Also the walls of the crypt are over three meters (10 feet) thick, making it possible to disguise secret passages – it appears there was a bit of ancient jiggery-pokery.
Another photo from our camping trip a week ago. We were driving around looking for birds but didn't see any. We saw lots of cattle though! A lot of cattle are allowed to graze in the national forests in this area! How peculiar! I wonder how farmers round them up when they need their cows. I mean, the forests are huge, and the cows are huge....

Took a walk today with my brother to try out the wide angle on Oracle. This is one of the shots. There'll be more - I just couldn't control myself.
Oracle is on Primfeed!
It was so generous of Luke Rowley to create a place for us. Let's make the most of it!

Name: Oracle
Type: MIX
Pilot: Magdalen Azalea
Special Ability: 4Sight
Description: While some racers choose to bask in the fame and spotlight that comes from winning races, Magdalen Azalea, pilot of the Oracle, is certainly not one of those. In fact, little is actually known about her past. There are some rumors floating around the MRL's fanbase that she was once involved with criminal underworld that hides in the shadow of the MRL, but nothing is certain. What is certain is that her mecha is extraordinary. The Oracle is agile, fast, and relatively light despite its size. Its real strength lies in its 4Sight ability. The Oracle can deploy four drones while racing to give its pilot an extended aerial view of the track. This allows Magdalen's cybernetic eye to calculate the best path for the Oracle to take depending on track hazards or other racers. 4Sight allows the Oracle to move at high speeds in dangerous situations, and even helps it to dodge attacks from other mechs in the Rumble Races. When the Oracle needs some extra speed, its drones can latch onto its back and give boost.
- Build Notes -
So, this one was tough to build. It is a lot bigger than I had originally planned, but I really like its silhouette. It has pretty good poseability and its torso is really sturdy. The idea for the 4sight ability came from Aldnoah.Zero's Kataphrakts, specifically the Nilokeras. This MOC is little tricky to balance, but once you find the sweet spot it's not going anywhere. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Thanks all!
