An end of trimester party to raise money for World Sight Day and Optometry Giving Sight. Hosted by The Deakin Optometry Student Society
Students from the Colleges of Optometry and Nursing at the University of Missouri–St. Louis and students from the St. Louis College of Pharmacy participated in a Poverty Simulation. The simulation was designed to expose participants to the complexities of poverty. Each student played the role of a specific family member, and throughout each “week,” they had to overcome certain challenges and meet different needs for their family. UMSL faculty, staff and volunteers helped with the simulation.
