I was waiting while someone at Dr. Cassen's office replaced the nosepads on my glasses today when I noticed this little guy sitting on the corner of a mirror stand. Too cute!

 

What were these things called, anyway? Weevils? Weebles? Anybody remember? They were really popular in the late 80s . . .

My sleepy little village had 2 recent grand openings.

  

A trendy coffee shop and eye glass store/optometrist office are now open for business in Beamsville, Ontario.

One of the many typical Scottsdale/Phoenix drivers that I ran across during my time there who had their fancy vanity plates and their equally fancy ability to be careless and entitled with their driving.

 

Also, my assumption is that this guy is or was an optometrist, given his vanity plate. Or he's just really, really, ridiculously proud of his vision.

The ocular atrophy was caused by a chronic case of blindness. The eye started to atrophy when it was not in use. According to the owner, this was gradual, going on a two year period. The Clinical exam showed that the horse was 100% blind in the affected eye. The horse is still racing and was presented for a lameness evaluation.
