The Gemini has a mirror of diameter 8.1 meters! These telescopes, among many other of the world's largest optical telescopes, sit atop Mauna Kea on Hawaii's Big Island at nearly 14,000 feet of elevation.

It seems that whatever we achieve in terms of low power and tiny packages it's never enough - there's always this one project where they need it just a little bit smaller with just a little bit smaller battery and just a little more range.
