This is the combination of Optimus Prime and the old SR-71 Blackbird character from the second movie. Both transform into cool-looking robots and into cool-looking vehicles and, as in the movie, combine into a massive monstrosity with weapons bristling in all directions. I.e. awesome.
We were joking about one robot mounting the other until we did the actual assembly, wherein the back robot _actually inserts a connecting piece into Optimus Prime's crotch_ to complete the connection.
