h) Sono stati utilizzati inoltre 2 Faretti Manfrotto ML-240 regolati rispettivamente a 1/4 e a 1/2 della potenza (luce 1900°/1200°Kelvin) posizionati il primo in basso a destra adiacente la scena all’altezza della foglia tronca secca della palma e la chiocciola allungata in basso posto con proiezione della luce sulla scena laterale per ravvivare e fare emergere i particolari della superficie delle foglie secche. Il secondo in basso a sinistra proiettato anteriormente sia sulla chiocciola che sulle foglie secche e in parte sugli elementi del fondo in modo da stabilizzare la differenza di luminosità fra il primo piano e la luce di fondo e dare maggiore tridimensionalità alla scena.
Inoltre per attutire le ombre ed alzare la temperatura cromatica della scena di fondo nonché per vivacizzare i colori, le micro torce impiegate della ROHS sono servite a schiarire alcune parti della campo inquadrato per dare una maggiore lettura delle sfumature generali (sui filamenti delle foglie secche centrali e sulla parte superiore sopra la chiocciola in alto).
Tutto il lavoro è stato naturalmente effettuato in set autocostruito in un giardino nelle campagne di Bolognetta;
h) Lettura Esposimetrica Spot con impostazione a priorità dei diaframmi;
I) Impostazione Asa 200/Asa;
l) Conversione del File Raw in Tiff con Nikon Capture NX 2;
m) Prima Post-Produzione Corel Photo-Paint X5 e Nikon Capture NX 2;

I really love this photo as it really shows the contrast between Toronto's gothic Old City Hall and the modern Eaton Centre tower in the background. No touchups required though I might go back and boost the dark shadows later. Optex 58mm circular polarizing filter was used.

Jordon gave me a "go bag" for our anniversary. Lifehacker has been raving about them for a while and they are bad that is full of your essentials so you are prepared to go at a moments notice and do something cool.
He put it together himself and picked up a canvas bag at Quinn the Eskimo. It's a parachuters shoulder bag so if I need to jump out of an airplane, I'll be fine.
In it he got me a case for my iPod Nano and a new LowePro case for my beloved (and aging) Fuji Finepix J10 camera. It's battery was dying so he got me a replacement battery as well so I can take photos all day now. Since I am horrible with keeping track of SD cards, he got me an Optex media holder in it as well.
In the next compartment was some pens and a new journal to keep notes on my adventures. For energy there was a Jersey Milk chocolate bar.
He also put in a funky water bottle and a Starbucks Tea Press. In case I got bored, he bought me a National Georgraphic Travel magazine (which just listed Saskatoon as a great place to travel to)

Well today is still a vacation day for me here at home not having to go back to work unitl tomorrow. I took an extra long weekend as I really have not had any vacation time this past year other than long weekends.
I subscribe to a number of photo sites one of which is Cazillo dot com. Greg Cazillo gives some great tips via video all for free and has Keep Shooting Monday's where he offers up a photo challenge and subcribers will post a photo. This weeks challenge is high key. Of course this was last weeks challenge in the 365 group but I am a rule breaker so what the heck.
I normally would never wear red lipstick I am too pale looking for that look but every once in a while what the heck. The red lipstick always reminds me of women from the second World War era, my mother's time. They would go out all dressed up in their best dress, with their hair just right and not much makeup other than of course the red lipstick. I think my mum when I see red lipstick.
Avon is the only company that you can buy the lipstick and if you don't like it after you can get your money back. Most companies because you put it on sucks to be you, it's yours.
Avon has been around since 1886 and the first avon lady was actually a man, the founder of Avon David H. McConnell. For those who have sold Avon or know of someone who did the real "first Avon Lady" would have to be Mrs Albee. Today, the coveted Mrs Albee can be seen as being awarded to those who make the Presidents Club with Avon. My aunt had OODLES of Mrs Albee's in her china cupboard. Today, you can buy Avon on line like anything else and it gets delivered to your door, Of course, you can still buy from an Avon Lady if you happen upon one in your area and now Avon is branching out to home party type scenarios.

Designed 1927–29 by Rudolf Koch and first cast in 1929 by Gebr. Klingspor. Also known as Kabel verziert (decorated) or Kabel Inline.
With its thick-and-thin lines, Zeppelin is the mother of all accentuated multiline typefaces like Filmsense, Optex or Black Line – with Koch’s Prisma being the progenitor of the evenly weighted branch featuring ITC Neon, Stripes, Pump Triline or Churchward Design Lines.
Just like the manifold phototype revivals Prismania or Bauhaus Prisma/Prisma Graphic – and just like the undecorated Kabel – Zeppelin came with round alternates for a number of caps incl. AEFKMNRVW.
Digital versions include a commercial one by Compugraphic (now Monotype; no designer credited), and a freebie by Dieter Steffmann (2003). Neither is 100% accurate in the details (see ‘a’ or ‘ß’). Both lack the long ‘s’ and the alternates and ligatures available in the metal original. Peter O’Donnell’s Odessa (Letraset, 1988) is an interpretation with the thick and thin reversed, and applied to lettershapes based on Futura rather than Kabel.

I got bored and decided to take a photo of my photo gear. My A80 doesn't have that wide a lens so I had to make do by arranging my stuff onto a small area of the poster paper I used for the backdrop and shooting from the front instead of above (hence, the cramped look to this equipment shot). Lit by my floor lamp...adjusted the WB in my A80 to compensate for the tungsten bulb...

Another recent acquisition. This Toptone AR-670 came with the box, leather case, polishing cloth and earphone. A rather attractive, delicate and small pocket radio with a gold reverse painted tuning dial. The radio works well and has a surprisingly good tone for such a small cabinet and speaker.
The radio is only 3 inches tall and just 2 inched wide.
