This is the Forest Road we use to access our mountain retreat. We traverse more than three miles from pavement to get here. The dawn and twilight hours are ideal for photography... and also the best times to come across the larger game animals. I'm often out cruising on my ATV at these times searching for photo ops, but this morning we're headed down to the Valles Caldera to the north... looks like we'll have to navigate through considerable fog.
