Ops Room desk at BBC Radio Lancashire's old King Street home in Blackburn. It's a Mk 2 Local Radio desk. I rememder the groups and routing were a nightmare - especially when using phone calls on air. Let me see - the desk had two outputs - A and B. A went to the transmitters and B went to the tele-balance units. Each channel on the desk could be routed to one of two groups (or both of them...) group 1 went to the A and B output and group 2 went to A only. So everything got switched to group one except for phones which went to group 2. This didn't give you a proper clean-feed for each OS - just a feed without telephone calls on it, so callers couldn't hear each other down the phone. There, easy isn't it.
