Underneath the west stands. Charleston, Hagood Avenue. The municipal football stadium and track, Stoney Field, was constructed in late 1950's for use by the city's 5 public high schools. It was named for Thomas Porcher Stoney who served as Mayor of Charleston during the 1920's and early 1930's.. Photo taken July 2008.
