Brian Aker of the Drizzle project presents an architectural overview and roadmap of the Drizzle project, on Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at the IDG OpenSource World Expo in San Francisco.
Drizzle, Brian's fork of MySQL, has gotten off to a great start, offering a number of architectural improvements to its parent. The project has gathered momentum recently and is attracting many code contributors, promising a bright future for the database.
Brian stated Drizzle is not yet ready for production use, but expects it to be sometime around December.
