Day 2 at the Catalyst Open Source Academy 2017 on 10 January 2017: Coming up with an idea for a movie night app. Developing user stories, prioritizing developpment tasks, peer feedback, reworking ideas, planning.
Philip Torchinsky spoke on fast deployment of OpenSolaris on hundreds of machines. He introduced an interesting method on automatically pull and deploy a ZFS snapshot from a master machine.
For Saturday we booked some seats on a paddle wheel steamer (running with diesel instead of steam) and had a guided tour along Dresden's skyline. There were 20 conference people left on Saturday morning, who attended.
