Looking south toward San Jose from Sierra Vista trail, Sierra Vista Open Space Preserve, San Jose, Calif, May 13, 2016.
listening to light
happy solstice!
from the southern hemisphere
where there's more starlight than sunlight right now :-)
whether quiet or aloud
my big thanks for the company here ✨💛
two seconds at dawn
benign flowing energy
becoming all things
this really is a two second icm..
plus the usual something else hidden in the flow :-)
my thanks for the company here,
whether quietly or aloud, it's very much appreciated 💛

somewhere for the mind to roam
For some years now I've been photographing the hills I live below, sometimes steadily, most times shakily :-) and still I'm surprised by entirely new landscapes emerging.
If you're coming, bring warm clothes,
it's autumn and a little cool.
I'm hoping there's cake hidden in there too.
It's a big country...
I think we'll need it ;-)
my thanks to all who wander this way
I very much appreciate the company!!
to our beautiful spinning tilting earth...
and to the seasons with all their hues, tones and lights...
happy equinox to you... whatever hemisphere :-)

matariki / the pleiades rising above the horizon in midwinter signals the start of maori new year in new zealand.
a time to look back,
to remember those who've passed on...
a time to decide what to plant...
this one's a multiple exposure of matariki/ the pleiades,
some grasses,
an icm image of the hills...
and a few digital sprouts ;-)
This is the view looking across Lochan na Stainge and the mountains of Stob a Choire, Stob Ghabhar, Clach Leathad and Meall a Bhuiridh. Taken from the A82 road bridge just as you enter into the Rannoch Moor area and Glencoe.
Taken first thing in the morning at Sunrise but in the complete opposite direction as there was no hope of light that morning... then the rain that can be seen in the distance made photos impossible for about two hours and I retreated to the ski centre cafe for a bacon roll and coffee.
for the people of the Ukraine
the radiant love of sunflowers
and peace

The church is always visible due to the open space surrounding it, while the bare trees are further away. I specially went to the back of the church to capture the scene with the bare trees.
Glad Påsk ,wishing you a wonderful Easter filled with love and joy
...
Thank you for the faves and comments
It truly means so much to hear from you ..

Look what popped out of the last snow storm we had now in 10 F degree weather! The gorgeous Flatirons: crown jewels of Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks, Colorado.
ephemeral / eternal
the light has a heartbeat
a wingbeat
a prayer
this was made from 2 long exposures:
one of the hills (as usual ;-)
and one lucky image of a silvereye in motion,
combined with a lot of trial and error in PP :-)

with my thanks for the quiet company!
continuity

Clarke Quay is a unique, conserved historical landmark located along the Singapore River. This photograph was taken with remaining colours in the cloud formations. The open spaces of the Clarke Quay complex, with rows of conserved buildings, are covered by structures above the roof level. In addition, many “umbrellas” along the river bank offer shade or rain cover to diners.
