Asano Inio
Born in Ibaraki prefecture, 1980
Solanin was serialized in a weekly manga magazine for adults between 2005 and 2006 and was made into a live-action movie in April 2010. The story revolves around the couple Inoue Meiko, who is in her second year as a working woman, and Taneda Shigeo, a job-hopper, and their friends. They face the harsh reality of life in the mellow but stagnant contemporary society and find themselves in a state of moratorium but each begins to pursue their own meaning of life. The feelings of the young characters who are groping their way through life are expressed through monologues written in white letters against solid black backgrounds.

Conference at UdL (Universitat de Lleida) during the "Week of Comunication 2.0" (Setmana de la Comunicació 2.0)
As the winner of the KCCUK \2015 Spring Call', Jung will present her first ever solo show Mooning Monday (23 April - 23 May, 2015) where she will play with the visual motif that is as mundane as the moon and as ordinary as Monday. She will be exhibiting a body of videos, sculptures and photography which won't be displayed as fragmented, individual pieces but more as a coherent body of work.
Sirena.

Sing, dance, jump, smile, laugh, look, run, walk, stop, say it, shout it or shut up, do it, take action, perform... Messages, Ideas, Visions and Dreams. Fairy Tales, Myths, Philosophies and Beliefs, Declarations or Statements... a word, a sentence, a poem... a rainbow, a sunrise or a sunset, a street, a year, a day or an afternoon, a minute, a second, just one of those moments... rythm and unrhythm , synchronicity, waves, vibration, connexions and disconnections. Time, Change, doubts, desitions, plans, actions, destiny, revolutions and evolutions... Is everything connected to everything else? what is "the other" and what is "me"? Is it another language, culture or point of view? Is it something I am not interested on, or may I just not know about it? ... Is the everything else weird, mysterious, distant or ignored? Beautiful, curious or inspiring? Is is out there? or is it inside? What is it that, we call the "Everything Else"?
I got a new zine planned in conjunction with Abec. Bite a fellow sticker or graffiti artist and send/link Abec or me the picture. It'll all get put into one litle zine and everyone who contributes will get a free one!!!
Come on we all get the urge to steal a great character so here you can do it with no guilt or repercussions. Be it DHS or D*Face, bite like you've never bitten before.

The second winner of 2015 KCCUK Open Call is Shinwook Kim. His first major solo show Sleepwalker will be held from 8 June to 27 June 2015. His series of photographic/video works deal with memory that comes into being between dis-location and de-location. From the series of photographic works of the abandoned land near airports to the videos that documents the artist's attempt to transfer sand from his garden to what he calls "non-places", for Kim, memory is the space whether the dualities between reality and the imaginary can be reconfigured.
