We are having a cold snap, temperatures have dropped to 1°C at night.
Tabitha is snuggling and sleeping on my bed.
It was the end of June and I was exhausted from work and too little sleep.
Being so tired reminded me of school and all the mornings when I was dreading the end of just two more minutes of sleep, promising myself that I would go to bed earlier that night. I curled up to you one last time this morning and already knew I couldn’t wait for the moment I would be back in the evening. But as I was leaving the house in my warmest sweater and the morning summer sun met my skin, I realized that, for whatever reason, sometimes small things like these make leaving your safe and warm comfort zone worth it.
I used to think I needed to linger in a moment in order for it to stay meaningful, but there can be so much beauty in short and fleeting moments.

The rocking chair (I'm way too young for this chair I hope!) and lamp were made from bent, full branch, juniper wood.
A is for Autumn, who took lies by mistake.
Here's my take on one of the Gashlycrumb Tinies. It actually goes: "J is for James who took lye by mistake," but...well...artistic license and all.
I'm using this for FGR's theme of the day--Seven Deadly Sins. Because although lying isn't a deadly sin, it probably ought to be. Maybe so should trusting.
Oh, i'm also gonna use it for GTW*L (numbers). I'm going with 7, as in there are 7 arms in this picture and all of them are mine.

Which is more than I'm having, lol. My little stray Bengal now takes over my bed, not so good when I'm on nights!

I have had them since they were 5 weeks old. Born to a feral cat, in my backyard. Kept the mom too but she is gone now and these two are 14 1/2 years old.
