Gallery description:
It’s been a crazy year fraught with family worries, with COVID-19 and the lockdown etc. and it’s been very difficult to get out and indulge my passion for landscape photography but I’ve managed some new works despite the frustration of being confined to home for nearly four months.
The gallery includes pre and post-lockdown works from my 2020 visits to the coastal towns of Bognor Regis and Worthing (W.Sussex), Lewes (E.Sussex), the River Thames at Kingston Upon Thames, Richmond Upon Thames, Sunbury on Thames and East Molesey, as well as Bushy Park, Carshalton Ponds and the River Dee at Llangollen.
I have a deep-seated love of rivers, the seaside and countryside which I try my best to capture in my work. I hope very much that you enjoy viewing the gallery. Please contact me if you are interested in my work.

My son is a big fan of Dinosaurs, so we took him to the Natural History Museum in London. And I must admit, when visiting London this is a must see place (and its free!! A rarity in London). What a collection... and so accessible to the kids. My son loved this place... he didn't trouble us even once. He was too engrossed in trying out the different activity stuff they have for the kids.
We also got a chance to visit the Wildlife Photographer of the Year Exhibition and I must admit, it was an amazing experience!! There were some absolutely stunning photographs... a must see!!

As the Monday night reading in the back room Library Lounge at Telephone Bar & Grill winds down, a small raked stage surrounded by a demure rig of tiny stage lights is being prepped in a corner of the main restaurant area. Revolving kulcha in a variety of media tonight, it seems. Curious, I linger.
More or less without warning the MONDAY Theatre @ Green Hours presents a quick run (two performances, two days) of The Sunshine Play by Peca Stefan, a Romanian romantic triangle of a piece that played at the Dublin Fringe Festival in 2005 and won critical honors at the London Fringe in 2006.
From the Fringe it's just a hop skip and jump to the East Village, it seems. Green Hours is a jazz club in Bucharest that has hosted music and theatre shows since September of 1994, so we're keeping up a fine tradition.
The show is a free presentation of the Romanian Cultural Institute New York, performed in English by the three Romanian actors who created the roles. Here Isabela Neamtu as Iza runs afoul of New York's smoking ban after breaking up with her boyfriend during a romantic rooftop dinner by candlelight. He brings flowers and an Important Question, and things don't turn out quite as he planned. But the night is still young.
I ask around, get permission to take pictures, and photograph the piece for the upcoming issue of New York Cool. Some nights you have to love the randomness of this city.
(Technically, she could legally have smoked it - the law provides that smoking is permitted in the performance of art or entertainment. I'm not sure if they knew that.)
This photograph has been spotted as high as #157 on the Flickr daily Interestingness charts.
"In the corner of a cul-de-sac to the north-west of the minarets is a small phatuk, or gate, opening upon a steep flight of steps, at the foot of which extends the ghat of Punchgunga (the five rivers) where a considerable fair is held during the month of Kartik (Oct.-Nov.).
On the opposite side of the river is just visible the commencement of the road to Calcutta".

James Prinsep wrote those words concerning the same view that he drew almost 200 years ago.
His litograph is titled "View Of The Ganges, From The Phatuk or Gate at the top of Punchgunga Ghat".
James Prinsep (1799-1840) was an Anglo-Indian scholar, architect and antiquary who made many drawings of Varanasi (Benaras) showing realistic views of the city between 1820-30 gathered in a book titled "Benares Illustrated".
The lithographs published in this collection are showing that many buildings were kept at that time in a worst condition than nowadays.
It is really surprising because anyone can easily believe that many palaces and temples are today in decay and those sketches prove the opposite, in fact as time went by, people preserved and even restored many historic buildings.
It changes the way to appreciate the oldest living city in the world...
