I usually don't handle wheel bugs because even the babies can exercise their stab-ability, and bugs don't always want to be handled, but this little dude strolled right up onto my hand when I was holding the branch to photograph his siblings, so I figured he and I must be friends. Hard to believe that this tiny cutie-pie will grow into one of North America's largest true bugs (adults are around 30mm), but he will!
