Once up on time in Tilburg er was eens een stoom vereniging Tilburg naar landgoed Schaluinen en de hoop om tot Turnhout te rijden maar helaas o.a Politieke onwil en geld gebrek deed alle moeite te niet. We zitten op dit gebied niet in Engeland.

Motorcar 32 on route Nº 1 and 04 on route Nº 10 (PCC-bidirectional) both in blue livery. The first comes from Evergem (extension) for the latter terminus at the Industrieweg.
Articulated motorcar (Düwag) 894 on route Nº 10 and 851 on route Nº 16 at the terminus Endrupvej. The last day for Copenhagen's trams was April 24th 1972. Many of the cars were sold to Alexandria in Egypt.
Op 1 april 1926 werd Schiphol gekocht door de gemeente Amsterdam. De gemeente ging meteen aan de slag: de drainage van het veld en de toegangswegen werden verbeterd. Er werd een betonnen platform aangelegd van 50 bij 100 meter, en op het inmiddels tot 30 hectare gegroeide bebouwde gedeelte werden een stationsgebouw en een verkeerstoren gebouwd.
Het stationsgebouw van Schiphol werd geopend in 1928, op tijd voor de Olympische Spelen van datzelfde jaar in Amsterdam, en in mei 1940 door een bombardement verwoest. Een replica van dit gebouw staat sinds 2005 op Aviodrome te Lelystad.
De authentieke Vertrekhal bevat veel historische details. Zo zijn de schitterende blauwe tegels speciaal gemaakt voor deze ruimte. Ook vindt men hier een origineel vertrekschema.

On April 1, 1926, Schiphol was purchased by the municipality of Amsterdam. The municipality immediately got to work: the drainage of the field and the access roads were improved. A concrete platform measuring 50 by 100 meters was constructed, and a station building and a control tower were built on the built-up area, which has now grown to 30 hectares.
Schiphol's station building was opened in 1928, in time for the Olympic Games in Amsterdam that same year, and destroyed by bombing in May 1940.
A replica of this building has been at the Aviodrome in Lelystad since 2005.
The authentic Departures Hall contains many historical details. The beautiful blue tiles were specially made for this space. An original departure schedule can also be found here.

Once a week, WLE engine 187 010 has a very important job. Beer is brought from Warstein to Großbeeren (just south of Berlin) so the capitals beergardens don't run out of supplies. On August 22nd I was able to spot this train in Potsdam (shortly after the train drove through station Park Sanssouci).
Elke week brengt WLE loc 187 010 de Warsteiner biertrein naar Großbeeren. Omdat de trein echter pas 's middags rijdt is het moeilijk een locatie te vinden met zon in de rug. Deze locatie had ik op 22. Augustus 2017 weliswaar gevonden, helaas waren er echter te veel wolken om een mooie zonnige foto mogelijk te maken..
WLE 187 010 mit dem wöchentlichen Warsteiner-Bierzug nach Großbeeren hat gerade Potsdam Park Sanssouci hinter sich gelassen und braucht weniger als 40 Kilometer bis zum Ziel. Gesehen und fotografiert am 22. August 2017
Once again ... mir fällt gerade selber auf, dass die Bearbeitungen immer härter werden. Vielleicht muss ich mal wieder ein paar andere Sachen machen ;-)
