A wonderful shrub for Flower-arrangers and at it's best when other shrubs are not at theirs ....

It has great creative possibilities at Christmas time and of course for Ikebana..

I's ideal for my little patio garden and the catkins are looking spectacular.

As with most of my plant pics - I like to present them as 'portraits' so I can take time over 'design' and a touch of post processing....

Ha ha - it's a good thing we don't have to perform like this for our food!

He comes every day but I've changed the fat balls I put out and added another feeder with peanuts and he now seems very partial to the peanuts and ignores the fat balls.

She was heavily defending her baby, that I will post later too!

My new Echinacea plant - when I saw the striking flowers I just had to buy it....

weather very,very hot and of course, sun very bright. Normally I would try to shade to avoid harsh shadows, but somehow, I just liked the drama of the contrasts of colour and light and shade, it better expresses the heatwave conditions I think!
